This song hits hard. I used to love watching lord of the rings with my mom and she died. A lot of other devastating things happened that same year. I found myself driven by grief and I kept thinking “ I wish none of this had ever happened” . My friend I met in rehab told me to remember that quote that Gandalf said “ so do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us”. 7 years later I am going to college and I am working towards a degree in either counseling or a coach or maybe a business degree to become financially successful and independent so I can be able to save someone’s life and try to make some kind of difference no matter what people think of me or whoever is watching me. I only care if God watches.

so beautiful. does anyone know if there is any movie where this song is played? If this song is played as background music for a scene where man/woman is reminiscing times that he/she had with loved one who is gone/separated now, it would be so touching and would make many people to have teary eyes.

I tried learning this on my piano (turned it to a strings/horn/choir tone cause it's electric) and legitimately once I figured it out I tried to play it all the way through and fuck I cried so hard. SO hard. You legit can't tell me you don't feel emotions from this. No wizard, Istari, Maiar, Valar or Ainur can replicate this without diminishing. I really sometimes wonder how many takes this song actually took, how many creating it 20+ years ago had the same reaction they couldn't control

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 8 months ago. This year has been emotionally, mentally, physically and financially draining. I have done chemo, surgery, radiation, injections and now will be on medication for quite some time. Despite it all, I'm grateful for life. I never have said "why me". I never took anything for granted ever in my life. I am the type of person who has always seen a glass half full. Especially now, I am even more grateful for everything. Each breath is a gift from God. This song means that to me. Treasure life. It is so precious and fragile. ❤
