Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are an English rock band formed by former Oasis lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. The band originates from Manchester and includes former Oasis pianist Mike Rowe, drummer Jeremy Stacey of The Lemon Trees and percussionist Lenny Castro. The band also varies guests on their debut album such as the Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Wired Strings.
Noel had split from Oasis in August of 2009, since then, speculation of rumors that Noel might do a solo album were in the midst of the air. Later on in July of 2011, Noel Gallagher held a press conference which he had gone on to explain that he has in fact been working on a solo album, after denying rumors from his brother that he already heard his album. He also explained that he will be collaborating with Amorphous Androgynous for an album that is due for release in 2012.
Currently, the singles for Noel's debut album are, "The Death of You and Me", "If I Had a Gun..." and "AKA... What a Life!". "AKA... What a Life!" made its debut on a Vauxhall Commercial TV Ad, and is only to be released as a UK single. "If I Had a Gun..." was leaked years before on KZbin even before it was announced that the song will be included on the album.
Gallagher announced that he will begin touring a week after the album is released. He stated "We're going to go out on tour a week after the album is out. We're going to start off slow in small theatres. If it's good enough to get bigger than that then it'll get bigger than that. I don't think there'll be a huge great big tour this year. I think this year it'll be a quick whizz around the world and try and do the major cities and then it will probably be a bigger tour next year."

Getting right into this "goosebumps all over " rush I get listening to Noel Gallagher singing..... his and the band's music is so well written, and performed it takes you away. Kind of addicted to how special it is. I was quite a fan of Oasis but Noel commands you to sit and listen to the full album, and appreciate the Greatness. Quite rare these days. Legends are though.

When this album came out I was in my late 20s and thought this was a neat solo project from Noel G. At 37 is when I truly started to appreciate the content of the lyrics and how resembling it is to what is seen and lived in a man's life. Cheers to everyone listening and facing up life out there.
