These young men and women are children of the Lao refugees escaped from the Communist in Laos. They are not Lao national, How can they represent the country that they are not a citizen of? Laos does not allowed two citizenship but they allowed American Children to represent them. 🤔

In 2019 Laos past a law allowing athletes of exceptional ability with Lao heritage to be granted honorary citizenship. Check out our documentary, Heritage of Champions, where we explain this.

@@laoamericansports That's very selfish of The Lao PDR government. Whenever someone with Lao heritage are doing well then they want to claim them. The Lao PDR are the one that driven million of Lao people out of Laos, Now they want to grant citizenship to American children so they can claim them. that's very selfish and funny. How about granting citizenship to all Lao living out side of Laos. I bet they won't do it because they are afraid.

With that mentality Laos will never grow. If you don’t want to help contribute to its growth and reputation then don’t be a burden. The kids are representing a culture not the ideology of a political party.

Bullying transcends race. It's not "necessarily" about race anymore in the US since the 80's, its about class (Class / Income warfare). I can understand why you and other Asians would use this as a reason for being bullied. I myself am married into an Asian family - I know their struggle too. Never the less, I grew up poor. On the streets, living on welfare. My father dug in the trash for our food (YES here in the US Master Kaykosy.) I was bullied a lot from middle school to high school until I myself started Kung Fu and proved myself in my Jr. Yr. of high school. As I was raised in foster homes I was able to study as a teen Karate, Taekwondo, Aikido, Kung Fu and the word got around at my High School don't mess with me. I was still a geek, I was a sci-fi dork and loved my star trek club but everyone just left me alone because they knew I'd beat them on the street and that was enough for me and I just stuck to myself and a couple buddies I had. I joined the Marines in 1999, did the Marine Corp Martial Arts program, and fought on the battlefield of Iraq in 03' as an Infantryman and later when I got out of the Corps did other martial arts and much later (recently) earned a Black Belt in Taekwondo. Now I have a son, I'm looking at the Royal Tiger Academy for my son and I. Love the common history we have.... hope I can learn from your extensive experience. P.S. LOVE LOVE LOVE what you said about Law Enforcement.... I was a Sheriff Deputy (for only about a couple yrs) but your so correct. Once out of the Academy, the officer's don't do anymore training. It is SO darn important for Law Enforcement Officers' (LEO's) to continue even after they are done w/ the Academy.

Went to regular navy boot camp with this guy in 2001 division 420 and was in "Great Mistakes" with him for a while as well. He was a tough, cocky little SOB. I remember one morning out on the track running when it was still dark out he ran past me like I was standing still and yelled, "pick it up!" all gung ho and shit. Pissed me off. He was one the leaders in our division and busted my balls on a quite a few occasions. I definitely deserved it though! Feel old as shit watching this now.
