No first class relics of Saint Joseph. No purported burial site. Two Members of the Holy Family both bodily in heaven. I do hold as a pious belief that Saint Joseph was assumed into heaven. God bless us all, everyone!

@@ChristianSaintSavior i haven't read it all yet, but wonder if the book The Mystical City of God by Ven Mary of Agreda tells of St Joseph's staff. This book was told to Ven Mary by Our Blessed Mother Herself, and is filled with much information and praise of God.

I have read Mystical City of God by Ven. Maria de Agreda and she talks about the flowering of his staff (like Aaron in the Old Testament) as the sign that he was to be chosen as Our Lady's husband. It's not Biblical or even part of the Apocryphal books. There is no mention of it until the middle ages. Perhaps an oral tradition?

What evidence do you have to prove that this cloak actually belonged to St. Joseph ? Hearsay is not proof, and this is not an Anti-Catholic comment. Asking for evidence is a legitimate question.

Does anyone believe that the influence of St. Joseph on Jesus started as early as when Jesus was still in the womb of Mary the Blessed Virgin? I’ve never been pregnant nor have I ever studied pregnant women and their children, I just have been learning that women have to take very good care of themselves, especially their emotional health, during pregnancy since they are in one body with their child and whatever happens to the mother affects the child directly. The Mother of God must have fully entrusted herself to her chaste husband and she must be feeling fully secured around him, and this kind of trust and sense of belonging must also have developed in the humanity of the infant Jesus before His birth.

I believe in a lot of things but if this really had powers to heal and cure why wouldn't it be used for such ? Why keep it locked away and not have it available like other relics to help the sick and infirmed. Bring it to children's hospitals and let those innocent babies with cancer or diseases at least look upon it.

I prefer praying the litany in Latin too as I feel more connected to the thousands of saints and martrys who loved the Latin prayer language. I feel connected to our roots.
