Yewww, you have a bunch of rippers. They make the English waves look wicked! I would love to see what other drills you do during sessions (in or out of the water). I am also coaching and would be great to get some inspiration for coaching advanced surfers
@surfcoachdiariesАй бұрын
Thanks Chris! Haha they definitely make it look fun and get’s me amped to surf more! That sounds awesome I hope coaching is going well and I’ll definitely do some more edits with specific drills in and out of water

Those waves are way to small for the Mini ghost. It works great in chest high and above waves with some push.

Thank you for this amazing review! Since your typical performance boards are 2-3 liters less, did the rails feel bulky?
@surfcoachdiaries6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I’m stoked if it was helpful at all. No the rails didn’t feel bulky at all, it didn’t feel like I was sacrificing a whole lot of performance compared to my typical shortboard. Super impressed with it.

I just picked up a 5'7" @ 29.1 liters. I am about 153 lbs and usually surf about 25.5 to 27 liters. I am hoping I oversized it enough to be able to get the most out of it in small clean and bigger sloped out junk. Thanks for the video!

Its not about strength, its about technique.
@surfcoachdiaries Жыл бұрын
Both are important, maybe strength isn’t a priority for you and good technique is all you need, but once you have the technique a stronger surfer will be able to generate more power with each stroke, allowing them to paddle faster, get into bigger, heavier waves easier and cover greater distances with less effort. Additionally, a stronger body is more resilient to the physical demands of surfing, which can help prevent injury and ensure a longer and more successful surfing career.

I disagree on the board's low end. It's not a groveller - it doesn't do badly in said conditions, but it's more of a performance board that prefers some shape to a wave, and not ankle snapping mush. For those conditions, there are much better boards out there.
@surfcoachdiaries Жыл бұрын
That’s interesting to hear, I’ve found it to be a really good groveller so far. But no doubt there are all out grovellers that might outperform it in the tiny conditions. What’s your favourite groveller?
