my great grandpa gave me one of his case knives from 1960 when i was around 6-8 along with 2 swiss army knives he died a bit after that but o still have them

If it wasn’t 200 dollars for the titanium. I’m going to be getting micarta for my eklipse I just purchased the one that was just released I think it’s gen 3. People think it’s gen 6 but that’s wrong because it’s only on it’s 3rd model.

4 years later and I still love this video. I was 13 when my grandfather gave me my first pocket knife. Case Muskrat with bright yellow bone handles. I couldn't stand the damn thing at the time cause yellow was my sisters favorite color. As time went on though and I carried it everywhere I went, I grew to appreciate it more and more. I all but wore one blade down to a toothpick over the last decade or so of sharpening and touch ups while leaving one side pristine. One day, god willing, I will have a son of my own. When he hits 13, he will receive the same knife and hopefully he will one of the knives I leave him down to his son.

Men ... I am starting my knife collection since early this year, the one that got me going was the Spyderco Tenacious and a Leatherman Skeleton KB, from there I have purchased some Kershaw, CRKT, Buck, ESSE, SOG, Benchmade, Cold Steel, Keizer... I have to say I have seen maybe around 50 knife collection videos in the past few days trying to see what new things I can get to know, and your is the one I have enjoyed almost the most... mostly because the taste in your selection is quite similar as mine, knives that (with the exception of maybe a couple) are not aggressive or odd looking, even the custom or more expensive that you have at the bottom of the case. I’ve seen from other videos that when people show their customs that costs 100s of bucks they are too futuristic or odd looking. I’m gonna watch also your other video with traditional story see what you got there... really cool bro !

Awesome collection. I like the variety, some more common knives ( Buck, Victorinox ...) It’s not Spyderco after Spyderco after Spyderco. Not that there is anything wrong with Spyderco. You see some guys collection, and it’s nothing but Spyderco ( boring...). At 7:33, you mentioned you stripped the blade off the Cold Steel Kalishnikov, rendering its appearance of the true color of steel. Can you describe how you did that? I have a knife with a coating and want to get rid of the coating.
