gregor samsa was too in touch with his humaness and prideful to give up his breadwinner role to his family. If i turned into a beetle i would fly out the window and scare people. I see being turned into a beetle as being relieved of duties and being free from societal norms

Beautiful animation although im quite sad they didnt include the gory apple lodging in his back and his bug juices getting everywhere. That final scene wher gregor wanted to express his love for his sister but instead got drove away made me shed a tear 😢😢

Listen if he didn't want to get bludgeoned and subsequently succumb to his injuries, he shouldn't have turned into a beetle. That's the problem with kids these days all they want to do is twerk, text on they phone, transform into arthropods, eat hot chip, and lie.

Thanks for creating the animation. It captures some of the feeling being expressed in the story. Yeah, different ending, but then art is malleable. The original story is worth the read.

То пристальным взором седого брамана, то с нервной оглядкою вора вещей, с навязчивой страстью, мечтой клептомана ищу шанс схватить и сбежать побыстрей. Пускай все потом заклеймят святотатцем, опишут врагом, осмеют даже мать, мечтаю поклонников (воинов, паяцев) враз опередить и Вас окольцевать. Но это поздней, а пока созерцаю свободолюбивый, наряженный стан, цветенье улыбки от края до края, нагрудный, резной, золотой талисман. Живое панно дополняют румяна и платье, какое прижалось тесней, мелисса очей в летней дымке тумана, копна золотых завитушек кудрей... От Вас веет свежим лавандовым флёром. Слабею и млею, ведь чарами сыт. Пусть я и слыву Голиафом с напором, но Вы - сногсшибательный, меткий Давид!

Hello. First I want to commend on what a profound animation this is; our class was absolutely stupefied when we stumbled upon this masterpiece. It provided a whole new insight into viewing the book Metamorphosis with an unprecedented interpretation. Speaking of which, may I ask if there's a symbolism behind the apples? The vibrant color really makes it stand out from other elements of the film, and I was wondering if there were any hidden implication behind those choices.

This is a really interesting adaptation. I love the change that rather than become used to Gregor's transformation and have it become a burden, his family, especially his sister, cannot get past it at all. So rather than him dying alone and forgotten, it's a split second decision made out of fear at his appearance that ends his life. Then he returns to his human form and it really nails home the family's greatest error; seeing him as a monster rather than Gregor. This is fantastic.

Oooh! It's not the exact story beat by beat - but for sure a brilliant interpretation / rendition. Really excellent. Clearly a lot of thought and effort went into it. The ending is strong.
