Incredible!

Many good bands have bass sections that sound like a 32 foot organ. This is by comparison a 64 foot organ thanks to Derek Jackson's very clever use of his BBb. The others had to play into the tremendous sound he produced on a rather medium sized VB24AW Mount Vernon mouthpiece! It was never the quantity but the quality of sound that counts! Major Peter Parkes continued his successes with Faireys after the remarkable period with Black Dyke. Even today this is banding at the very highest level!

This is a superb performance, with some majestic sounds and excellent technical playing. The final section was considered almost unplayable when the transcription came out, but this band plays at a level many orchestras would envy and simply aces it.
