I'm not worried about scratches on a tool. Adds character. Alox is heavier and takes away two (or three if you use plus scales) tools.

Buy both and then some more lol. But seriously, a good combo that I'm liking recently is the 93mm Farmer alox, plus the Jetsetter. Blade, reamer, saw, scissors, 2 x openers/flatheads and a proper Phillips...the 58mm combotool can even handle full size Phillips screws, you've just got to be smart about how you apply torque/force to it, there are a few tricks for this.

I’d like to see this combo tool used on more SAKs in place of the dedicated opener layer, allowing another tool to be added.
@corbenj9 ай бұрын
I have used the combo tool to open ~100 tins/cans. Yes, it’s not as good as a proper tin/can opener but neither is the standard one. The fact that it condenses two layers down to one is a massive plus.

Great video, thanks. The chisel grind is very easy to sharpen. The new models have aluminum liners and are very inexpensive. Scales are tough for outdoor use. I paid $22.00 US on Amazon. The blade is very thin and slicey, about 0.05 inch thick.

im going for the hiker because it has 2 blade sizes and the saw but what makes it better than the camper in my opinion is it has no cork screw so it is more comfortable in the hand

SAKS are extremely overated. The only thing I really like on them is the scissors, bottle opener, Phillips screwdriver & fire starter accessory on the corkscrew. Every other tool is flimsy and leathermans blow them out of the water overall.
