So we approach Lanimas 2025. However I have a question why has someone who's not from Lanark but from Douglas been elected to the office of lord cornet. Not in keeping with this event in my opinion

I would love to visit this town one day. Some of my ancestors came from this area, but it appears they left before Whuppity Scoorie began. I see that the shield of the Royal Burgh of Lanark has dogs on it. Perhaps my love of dogs comes through my Scottish DNA.

I was not able to be present that day when Mum crowned Flora as Fleming Queen. But I am so glad to see it now.

This is one of my happiest memories as a child. I loved Whipity Scourie! I loved Lanark!! It's such a magical town for a child to grow up in & with such a beautiful loving community spirit within - Lanarkians you are a beautiful historical intelligent traditional townsfolk of people. And I was blessed by God spending my first 14 years of life in my treasure of a home town "Lanark". Such happy memories. Thank you A. G. for your posts they are like a gift to me. God bless you all in Lanark!
