Patty, Maxine and Laverne. It's a good thing they could sing because they sure weren't going to win any beauty contests.

I watched this several times and focused on a different sister each time. Patty was definitely the star. She just had that "It" factor! She would be a mega star today!

My grandfather was in the marine corps and fought at Iwo Jima. He was a huge fan of the Andrew’s Sisters and played his vinyl copy for me many times growing up. Sadly I lost him in 1992 at the age of 76 (like many of his generation he was a heavy smoker), but this song always reminds me of him.

My grandfather served in ww2 and died in 1980. He never listened to music, I'm guessing because he was too poor to afford a radio, but he's probably jammin with the Andrew sisters in heaven.

Our country's greatest generation. For many reasons. Not just because we produced the hardest men the world had ever seen to that point. But they had style and class and I love the music.

I think WWII brought a boom in working women both in the armed forces and at the homeland. They wouldn't be sent to the battlefield but they worked in logistics and nursery and even manufacturing weapons

Every comment "my dad, my mom, my grandpa, my grandma, .... Loves this song " How come none of you jerks are saying that YOU like the song? Its a good fekkin song, and these girls had levels of harmony that even exceed computerized chorus effects. Ffs you should love this song too. Not just your parents or grandparents. The Andrews Sisters have a lot of good songs. I especially like the ones where they sing with Bing, because he has the same vocal range as me. I literally can't get Pistol Packin Momma out of my head for days after playing Fallout 4.
