I have the same car. Mine is 1990. Fun car to drive. 4AFE engine. Looks beat up the way I want it. Never wash the car ever since I got it. Remove the stereo and using a Bluetooth speaker a lot cheaper than upgrading the deck and speakers. I suggest you replace the brake master cylinder. Mine has no vibration at freeway speed. I replaced all the engine mount. I put new bulbs on the dash. A pain to work on but doable. Hope you still have it.

I just bought one of the very few 92 Corollas left for $2k and it only has 105k miles on it. I couldn’t get over how good of shape it’s in for its age and I had to get it. It is a very smooth and comfortable vehicle. The only complaint I have is road noise but I’m pretty sure I just need to get new tires

Pretty amazing how even when abused for so long, it still runs. Sounds like the transmission is on its way out (fluid may have never been changed). Poor car.... oh well.

Strongly considering buying one exact year and model, I plan to install a charging station within my home's garage, so I'm looking forward to the savings. I heard nothing but good things with cost of electricity in comparison to usage. Can't wait!

I got the exact same model but ‘91!!! Dashboard died 2 yrs ago with 382k+ miles on it, (god knows how many are on it now in total) it’s missing an engine mount, never has had its timing belt replaced, the engine is leaking oil into the spark plug cylinders & STILL RUNNING FASTER THAN EVER!!! 💪🤣 I fricken LOVE my shit box it has NEVER given up on me or died on me! Now imagine how much better it will be once I fix it up!! Absolute legend!!!

Mom had a 92 Corolla, so basic but so reliable. drove it for almost 2 years in 2007 & 2008 and then we sold it in 08. Fast forward to Feb 2019, at the Junkyard, Im looking for a side mirror for my Solara and I see the 92 Corolla I had painted twice for my mom all picked thru.

Less than 10000 k and the suspension system is sagging throwing the camber way out and causing extrem tire wear. Get one of these and you will have to save up some extra money ($1600) to replace suspension components. Also power steering pump failed, here in Calgary replacement cost is $1300 not including labor just for the pump alone. A hard pill to swallow considering that the car isn't even paid off yet. No sympathy from dealer = no repeat business.

Seems to be an isolated incident, I have followed up with the owner on this car 75k miles on the car as of date and no major repairs, even after a few track days, only basic maintenance has kept this car up and running

To be fair, what did you expect? Japanese made cars since ~1990 are awful. Total garbage. They’re living off the legend they built - deservedly so - in the 70s. But, much like GM in the late 60s, they all knew they could cheap out whilst riding that wave and make sick profits. So they now produce crap no better or worse than any Chevy.

It's a nice car. It's a shame whoever had this car before didn't take as much care of it as they should. I almost bought a '92 Corolla one time and I wish I did. I was 16 years old and a junior in high school at the time. It was around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Glendale Dodge dealership in Glendale, California. My parents were in the process of buying a brand new 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT when the Corolla caught my eye. It was a burgundy DX model with a gray interior. The salesman asked me if I wanted to sit in it, start the car and listen to it run and I said Yes. But before I did, I looked around the outside and inside of the car and I was just impressed on the condition. The car was in pretty good shape. Someone took really good care of it. Then I got into the car and start it up. It ran like if it had just come out of the assembly line. Purred like a kitten. I was just about to take the car for a test drive, but unfortunately test drive hours were up for the night. In conclusion, I wasn't able to test drive the car or buy it. But, I was able to at least sit in it and start it up.

Only 22,000 miles? Then this does not make for a useful comparison with other cars, as most people drive over 10,000 miles per year.

I bought a Leaf two years ago with the mistaken belief that these cars are worry free. The biggest issue that you almost never hear about (except from the unlucky owners) is that these cars have two water pumps that are very expensive and hard as hell to replace as one of them is located under the motor so the motor has to come out to replace it. Installation is very expensive and you will probably have no choice but to let the Nissan dealer gouge you.These aren't cheap water pumps. They cost $400+ because they have their own electric motors. This is due to the fact that there isn't a drive belt to power the pump. These water pumps run continuously when the vehicle is powered on or when charging so don't expect more than 5-8 years before they fail. Another issue is the 12 volt battery which needs to be replaced every few years and not with a cheap one but instead with an expensive AGM battery that can easily run over $200. You haven't really touched on the most important issue though and that is that the traction battery keeps going down and with it your range. My 2013 went down to 79% and the real world range was about 60 miles. Of course even before that there will be lots of warning bells telling you to prepare to start walking. Range anxiety is a real thing for Leaf owners. I finally got tired of it all and bought a hybrid with 640 miles of range.

Oh and by the way that are not the original hub cabs. All it needs is a full tune up and oil change air filter and I think it run good I'm driving mines to new Mexico in two days from California have also driven to Ukiah Sacramento napa and never had any problem never over heated. Here's my number 510-328-5658 I'm not a mechanic but I know a little about cars like I said the trunk will open if you play with it but don't turn the key to the left always to the right once you get the trunk unlock don't turn the key to the left because it will lock again and even if he used your latch to unlock it because it's locked now it will not work to unlock it but once you unlock it and just close the trunk you could use your latch to unlock it and it will work fine I fix my door handles on my own I just want and got some other ones from the junkyard and they work perfect
@darkrai20155 жыл бұрын
I have one just like this one it has 205,000 still drives strong the key entry on doors handle wears off but u can change them the cilender gets Stu then u won't be able to lock or unlock but if changed it will lock and unlock with key it happen to mine I changed it myself now the key work to lock and unlock. The trunk is not going to open with the latch not with the key only because who ever had it locked it by turning the key to the left but it can be open it also happen to me I pI thought I was never going to be able to open my trunk and take my things out but I just play with it for a little bit with the key once I got it on lock which you can own a turn it to the right to unlock it it will open and unlock but if you lock it to the left or turn the key to the left it will never open it will lock again

That's exactly what Toyota is man Lexus IS Toyota's luxury line of cars just like Nissan is infinity luxury line of cars same shit What do you think the Infiniti G35 is that's basically a Nissan 350Z and what do you think Infiniti G37 and q60 are that's basically a Nissan 370Z right there just with back seats
@andre262610955 жыл бұрын
It has the same engine as 370Z man wouldn't be that much faster 370Z might beat it by a little bit but not much they both are basically the same car except this car just has a back seat and more added weight because of that
