I was looking for the Kellogg's Corn Flakes commercial with the toy train and the water tower with milk. I remember it from The Flintstones (when Kellogg's sponsored the show back in the 60s ) I was looking for the commercial so I can show it to my son

Back then, whites were allowed to be in ads, and ads actually tried to sell products

I love how these ads make Corn Flakes seem better than they really are lol. Even today you could make ads for them targeting kids and they'll want them

This was when rotoscoping live actors into a graphic background was new. "The new adventures of Huck Finn" was one popular effort. It premiered as a feature on the 1969 "Banana Splits" show.

The 1966 version stressed their "Tall Up" slogan, with the kid literally growing to "giant size" after eating a bowl of Corn Flakes, saving Corny from the gator's fate....

The need for coffee before the start, absolutely. In 1985, my husband, his son and I (not knowing I was 2 months pregnant) left Helens Lake at 10,000ft and at 3:30am to make the summit of Mt Shasta, then back to Shasta City in one day. I identify with your comments. Great post. I'm using it as my have a great Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family facebook post. Music perfect also.

Later commercials featured a different kid (with a dubbed in voice) and Andy Devine as the voice of Corny.
