i think Carlyle is another USA heritage brand that hasn't gone down quite as far as craftsman, stanley, black and decker. The only tool i have of theirs is a new ~$50 3/8 60t ratchet handle which feels really nice. it's not stamped with country of origin, but it is stamped with a repair kit number which is more important to me

Thanks for your comment. Our UK rep is trying to get us in a 60t ratchet to try and said big new things are coming soon and a big step up in quality. Exciting times lots of new competition to keep Snap On busy and push the development boundary forwards.

Carlyle made a huge mistake by going away from the 72 tooth ratchets. The new 90 tooth units are crap compared to the 72s. It's not as durable, the back drag is horrible and the head is much larger, rhe 72s are by far the superior ratchet in my opinion. If you can find a 72 tooth, buy it, they are awesome. Oh, and thd new 90 tooth cost about 40% more than the 72s.

Fully agree however have got a 120 tooth coming in tomorrow will be interesting to see how this compares the rep reckons the differences will become much less

The Carlyle ratchets with the comfort grips are a 90t compared to the one in the video. I still prefer a snapon over them though

Then comfort grip ones are nice but agree not still snap-on quality however these cheaper brands are closing the gap to snap-on and to home mechanics or people starting out on the spanners they are a great starting place or back up tool

Objectively worse than a simple headlamp. You can wear them over a beanie or most other kinds of hats

Around £200 a bargain for what you get and the finish easily similar to £800-£1200 watches if not more

Perfect. I’ve seen them with the glossy bezel insert, is the titanium one only with Matte insert? I’d rather a matte one like yours.
