Sounds great, do you think this is one of the better string libraries out there? Does it use up a lot of ram?

Guy, OUTSTANDING in-depth exploration of Swing More! I was trying to decide whether to buy it, and your tutorial settled for me -- I am! I am sure I will be referring back to this in the future. I love your style, and of course your humor! Thanks so much!!

So Behringer just announced a hardware clone of this synth. It was that sweeping laser that captivated me at a young age. Love them or hate them, Behringer have definitely hit a winner making a clone of this famous and rare synth.

Thanks for the video, but whenever I load a patch (violin, cello, etc) there's only 1 in the divisi section under ensemble. How do you load multiple patches so they all show up in that section? Thanks
@JoelEverettComposer7 ай бұрын
You can't, unfortunately get all the string sections violin, cello etc into a one stage map, but you can get individual sections - i.e. Violins I, II, Viola etc - per section. You have to be sure you loading the full instruments and not Full Sections (Divisi Mixdowns), Splits, or First Chairs - those will just give you one on the stage.

Great - didn’t know that you got monophonic legato by turning off the auto divisi! Btw, the legato is compatible with the sustain pedal if you feel your playing is sloppy!

Why in the name of all that is holy do they NOT have either 1) HARMONIC SCALE CHORDS so you don’t have to switch octaves every note when trying to do legato??! Or 2) mix and match your own maj/min or yellow and blue? I’d buy it right this second if it had that but otherwise it’s easier to just do the correct chords…

Your videos are really excellent, guy. Thank you. I'd love an update of how you are working with your setup now. I have been on Cubase for decades, had used VE Pro in the past, but then fell away from it. Now I have rebuilt one machine as a VEP server, and built a brand new (to me) machine for Cubase and VE Pro, and I'm really trying to navigate all the possibilities of how to run it, as far as preserved, decoupled, etc. It's a bit overwhelming but I'm chipping away at it, while also hitting the pot holes of a new VE Pro and VST3 version of Kontakt. There are definitely some issues to be dealt with. Anyway, thank you for all the info you've already provided! Great stuff!

Thanks Eric! Amazingly I'm still using this technique, I just keep adding to the template as and when I get new stuff and it barely changes the resource use because it's so light. Only thing to be aware of is that as I type this VST3 hosting is still pretty buggy, hopefully it'll settle down soon.

If you are just going to go through the patches in sequence, there is no need to drag-n-drop. Just hit the arrows next to the patch title to go back or forward a patch. AND, it won't ask you if you want to save your changes. A real time saver.

No mutes for tpts and bones? Also, no upright bass pizz other than combined with cello... Guitars have way too few chord types. Despite these drawbacks, I'm going to buy today. LOVE the clari - totally different sound quality to my orchestral ones and also want the tpt shakes etc that generally aren't covered by symphonic libraries. There's quite a bit here that I won't use. Strings and vox seem rather weak. Anyway, thank you for the very detailed reviews. I now know exactly what I'm getting.

I have just invested in Symphobia, largely because of your videos, which are great to watch. However, it is a completely new venture for me, and am baffled by what appears to be an abject lack of any "how to" manual. Any suggestions?
@guyrowland47112 жыл бұрын
Hey David - looks like in the latest installation there are manuals for the new features in 1.6 and 2.0. I guess the original version is obsolete in parts, but looks like Thomann have a copy here - images.thomann.de/pics/prod/216897_manual.pdf
