its definitely informatory. And its good that women, are educating others. Believe me i came here for the same purpose as these other women to understand what am i signing. But for the mehr, i have heard the islamic/legal reason and also heard the cultural reason for not so big mehr. But honestly i have come to the conclusion even if you put a very hefty haq mehr, no amount of money can last you a lifetime. So i would like to just think of this as a gift only. Not as financial security. And in that sense it can be really any amount you want and agree to. I think approaching mehr with the thought of providing you financial security really cant last in the long run. I mean even 1 crore will last you only till a specific time. But the other point is that this will put a formal burden on the groom as well, until he pays it off. I means gifts can be of varying financial value but mehr is bound, unless the bride lets it go. Hopefully this does not happen, but if the bride is a bad person this will in turn make the groom the victim. Just my 2 cents on the topic. Again this is my personal opinion, feel free to disagree. A woman has khula but a groom has no khula.

Hello! I'm a 2nd year LLB student from Bangladesh. If I want to start my masters with chevening scholarship as soon as my honors degree is complete, in that case in which year should I start applying. Because applying to the university and getting the offer letter and then applying for the chevening with that offer letter and getting the result is a very time consuming and lengthy process. If I apply when I am in my 3rd year, I still don't have the results of the 4 years honors degree, I don't have 2800 hours of work experience by then. How do I meet the requirements? If I want to start my masters with this scholarship right after my honors, what will be the complete time frame of applying for this scholarship including the application to the universities , getting the offer letters, fulfilling the work experience conditions? I'll be very grateful for your kind suggestions🙏🏼
