It never ceases to amaze me that you are able to catch such tiny fish. IS it all by sight? I can't imagine you're feeling a bite with some of those really small fish. ...and what size hooks and what type bait do you typically use? I'm sure you've shared that but I've slept since I watched those videos.

Wwlcome to my neck of the woods. I'm a 7th generation native of Florida. My ancestor owned the mill that Milton was named after. Never seen a fishing video where someone just caught minnows. However, I love nature and you did a fantastic job of showing the natural beauty of these tiny critters.

Brilliant as always. I hope you realise how lucky you are! We only have ~35 species of freshwater fish in the uk and I caught pretty much all of them in a year, only 2 invasives (Prussian carp and Wels Catfish) left plus some endangered stuff like Shad which are too rare to actively target :(

You are correct on how lucky it is to be multi species anglers in the US. So much diversity with states like AR or MO with well over 200 species and TN with over 300 freshwater species. Then there are the saltwater opportunities.

Very rarely do I find spots by driving around. Although in the next video coming out (Saturday) I did find one spot like that. I do find a lot of them using Google Maps satellite view. I've gotten pretty good at it, especially if there are street view images of the area.

Some bandtails have gorgeous teal dots on the top side; they’re much more beautiful if you find one that has them more pronounced. Also fresh shrimp(cut chunks from live) is what I swear by; I feel frozen loses a bunch of the scent so if I use shrimp cut or not I have to have them as live to start. Has made a worlds difference once I stopped using frozen ones; just a tip about shrimp! Caught my lifer shrimp eel shortly after learning the tip myself

The river systems in central Alabama are so underrated. I believe they have a single river that contains more freshwater biodiversity than all of California. I think its the Cahaba.
@TheFishingNomad
@TheFishingNomad 19 күн бұрын
@@Steve-ev6vx Makes sense. I believe Tennessee alone has almost 300 native freshwater species. Alabama is not far behind that. California has less than 50. All of that is off of the top of my head so numbers might not be perfect, but the point is the same.
