Hey Cory, I think the power and the final result on your bike are simply fantastic. I only had two questions: 1-When installing the baron kit to lower the height of the rear fender, doesn't it make the suspension feel harder? and 2-Did you have to place spacers or some other piece when installing the new rear wheel (rim) so that it was well aligned and did not rub against the transmission belt?..... I am starting with the modifications of my VN classic 900 and your motorcycle is my inspiration. Thank you very much for your attention and answers to my questions and enjoy that beautiful motorcycle you achieved. 👍

Mr Wasatch you did a Narly job of restoring that road burned Vulcan 900 it LOOKS incredible your rims and attention to detail are remarkable. I had a close friend with that bike and he rode it like a monk every day to work even in the winter time. With I had a basic list of the parts you put on this bike the front fender etc if and when I get my Vulcan I am going bug the shit out of you for more info.

Hey Great video! I've got a few questions I am hoping you could answer Which peak is the sundial? There appears to be a peak at 3:45 as well as another peak you reach at 7:40 I plan on hiking this route in January - do you know how difficult/dangerous these peaks will be in the winter? will an ice axe will necessary? I have micro spikes, but will full crampons also be needed?
@WasatchSummits
@WasatchSummits 3 жыл бұрын
Glad you like this one. The peak at 3:45 is Blanche Peak, or the highpoint on the Cottonwood Ridge. The peak at 7:40 in the summit of Sundial. Sundial Peak is rated at class 4 in some locations, mainly class 3. There is considerable exposure at several parts of the ridge to the summit on Sundial for sure. I would highly recommend full crampons and an axe for either or both of these peaks, as well as keeping an eye on the avalanche forecast as well. Most of the ascent to Blanch Peak is north facing terrain making it more hazardous during avalanche season.

Hey you still have the bike. I bought mine last year 2010 it had 5200 miles on it. When I road it yesterday it had 18k I like it like you its smaller than I use to but gets the job done.i did some top end work and a stage 2 but I think I'm still only putting out about 63 horsepower at the rear wheel. But I should at some time slow down alittle. Haha

That's a good looking paint. What color is it? I'm building a 2010 right now. Just made brackets to mount dresser bags on it and put some 14 inch apes on. I let the guy I bought it from take it for a ride and he dumped it so she needs paint.i was thinking either burnt orange or some kind of silver grey and I think you helped me make up my vhf mind. Ps your bike would look great with that radiator spoiler. I'm going a different way but I like them a lot. That sounds great to I just debaffald mine sound ok

Mine doesn't buzz at those speeds too bad, though I've changed out the wheel-tire sizes and substantially changed out the geometry on mine. When it was stock it buzzed a bit more than it does now, though that never deferred me from taking it on longer rides.
