Very accurate video. I purchased mine after seeing this one. Pay close attention to the stone when held with tweezers vs in a mount. Notice the "resting intensity" I don't know what to call it, is not as bright of lively. My stone does the same. Looked deep when held in tweezers and when in mount looks almost cloudy when not getting hit with light. So overcast and cloudy it looks way different than when bright light is on it.

Thank you for posting that.I'm on the fence about Moissanite.Hear too many stories of its 'moodiness' & how some stones have a greenish color or dulls out in overcast weather.You got a very lovely stone.I've seen several moissanite clips and you and maybe 2 others have captured the beauty really well.Some clips I've seen the stone doesn't translate well on screen, but yours does.I love that steely grey color that you are talking about.I'm waffling on Moissanite.Your video helps me out.

You can tell moissanites in natural sunlight by the strong amount of green they sparkle. Pretty stone.

Girl I cant tell you how much I love you right now. I've been kind of distressed now that the amora/mira moissanites are out of stock everywhere. This has convinced me to get an unenhanced moissy.

My stone is not a special cut. It's a traditional cut moissanite, which has no treatments whatsoever.

What are the difference between this an diamond? My friend has a 0.3carat diamond ring and a 0.5 carat moissanite pendant and the mousanite looks like a fake diamond :S

@yafashelli, yes, I just joined their forum boards and have even 'ventured' into the moissanite forum and have read different topics.Must admit, my mind IS opening up to Moissanite.Think I will wait for the H&A cushion and round and maybe pick one.Hope BTD can get the go ahead in 2012 as planned instead of 2015.Some women are planning long vacations in countries that do allow it to be sold there & they are buying it there. Think that's funny. wish I could do that.LOL!

BetterThan Diamonds sells Amora or Mira, can't remember which one, and the color is H, I believe, so if you don't want a stone with funny colors in certain lights, theirs' is not supposed to do that. Next year hopefully, they are coming out with Hearts & Arrows round brilliant and cushion cuts, they hope. Charles & Colvert (spelling?) has a patent & they are trying to be able to sell them in the US. Not a shill, but a customer of their's & very happy with their CZ.Check them out if you want.

This is beautiful! I have a 9mm (3ct equiv.)enhanced moissanite & it sparkles like the dickens too! But yours seems a bit less tinted than mine..? Maybe it was just the lighting conditions..?

@daniellemariedodson Yes, that's absolutely correct! When I first put the ring on my finger, I immediately thought that it was riduculousy huge. After a week or so, shrinkage set in, and it's now juuuust the right size. The only thing that I might do differently, is that I'd choose a thicker shank/matching band.

@NaturallyBlessed4590, if no one has answered your question, there is a site called Moissanite and Company who sells Moissanite rings already set with a stone that you chose the size or you can buy the stones by themselves, as well as Charles Covard or something like that. Better Than Diamond is starting to sell Moissanites again, but its the next best thing called Mira. They have it so their stones are I think a G or H color, not sure. They also sell Asha simulants if you are interested.
