This version of Lex was so well written and different from anything we had with him because in most iterations he’s known for his hatred and jealousy of Superman, but what puts Rosenbuams apart from the many other versions we’ve had lately is because this version of Lex is more jealous of the man behind Superman. Clark has the life Lex would kill for as he had a loving father, good friends, and true love from a woman who loved him and not his wealth unlike Lex.

"Of course...everyone can trust Clark Kent, you're the perfect son!" Best acting moment, you can feel Lex's inner struggle and conflict about how unfair things are and how he has been mislead by everyone around him while at the same time trying to justify his crime.
