Thank you, thank you. Thank you for this video today. This was the first year. I did not use brand new soil completely. I have about 4o 16 inch pots that are planted up each year and this year I only topped it off with about a fourth of the tops With new soil (Cost). Everything is doing great except for my petunias the heat is killing those. I will think long and hard before planting any more petunias from now on even though I love them. Thank you! How often do you water Endless Summer Hydrangea when the temperature gets over 100? It usually doesn't get that hot here, but it is this summer. Up until this summer I would water them deeply once a week. I am sure I need more this summer, but I am worried about over watering.

I too use mesh, a coffee filter and stones or broken pieces of pots in my containers. I also found Windex streak free outdoor cleaner for everything outside. It attaches to the hose and makes sparkling windows, siding, sidewalk and containers And furniture. I also use charcoal fish tank filters in my fountains. No chemicals, pollinator safe and lasts for years. Just rinse as you would if they were in an aquarium. I’m in NJ❤

We make small compost bins hidden on each plant (so worms can come in and out and do their job ) if you do t want to change your soil every year that might be a good option 💚

Your container plantings are pretty! Do you bring your hydrangea pots inside or in a heated garage for the winter?

Some of them I do and others I do not! The big large one yes! I will pop out plants/ trees and keep the container outdoors!

@@GardenQueen thank you for answering! I’m asking because macrophylla hydrangeas don’t do well over winter in my zone 5a. They come back but they lose their flower buds from the freeze. Someone suggested I grow them in a pot and overwinter in the garage.
