Hello, with bigger sheep this is VERY hard. If you have a big sheep, push down on their armpit (the back, where the hip would be) while holding the neck in that position. They will fall and you just pick them up by the legs (not the front of the legs because you could dislocate it). Good luck!

My dog bit half my sheep's bottom lip off & I can't afford to take it to the vet. I was only able to squirt a little bit of peroxide onto its lip, I put 2 caps of bleach in a fresh water tote and left it to itself, keeping and eye on him. I don't know what else to do, it was my fault the dog bit my sheep b/c I wasn't far away enough with dog food that my dog checked the sheep for just being interested.

Maybe stop pushing the ewe away from her newborn? She's trying to look after it. I can appreciate that you're trying to record an informative video, but you don't need to act like that. Change the camera angle if she's getting in the way. Poor conduct.

Will they put their back legs out? First time lambimg for us. First time ewe is sticking back legs out. They're all within the lambing window. She doesn't look super swollen rosy or bagged up. So I'm not sure she's quite ready.

My ewes are due the end of this month December. Can I start feeding 4-7pm now to get them to lamb 8-11pm or 6-8am or is it to late in the pregnancy? TIA

We have one ewe that's pregnant but we are unsure how far along. She is definitely gaining size and changing shape and has a small amount of milk forming. There is no change in vulva yet and bags are not tight yet. How far in advance do you notice that change before they actually lamb?

How'd the lambing go? We notice at least a month in advance that the ewe is bigger. Also her tootie will start to pucker and her bag will swell.
