Def loving this type of content for my walks and editing sessions to absorb more mindset and business info on photography rather than the technical aspects. Cuz end of the day making money from photography is a skill as well that needs to be learned

AI is not the problem, its the person using AI that is the problem. I am constantly looking for a way to sort through the photos I have. I might have stuck with a weekly theme if I had something like this. I've been showing my crappy photos every day while working on making crappy videos.
@RanftEvan4 сағат бұрын
Hey anything is better than nothing, at least you’re making stuff. But yeah the theme concept is the direction I’ve move in some to help keep things organized. Creativity making a photo every day has been the most challenging thing I’ve done so I don’t blame anyone who can’t keep up, it can get very overwhelming
@thetravelogues5 сағат бұрын
Feels like AIs impact on productivity will be like the telegraphs impact on communication. What used to take days (ie going through 16k photos) becomes nearly instantaneous
@RanftEvan5 сағат бұрын
Exactly! The more I’ve been studying AI that’s the trend I’ve seen. So far this is a very practical way to use the technology as a photographer

The main key is good lighting. Pixel photos are just good enough to use on social media. For large print or crop or unique look we need pro camera.

I’m trying to do macro photography. I have a nikon z5, with a nikkor 24-200 zoom lens. My shutter release doesn’t work past 70mm zoom. Why can’t I do macro at full zoom?
@JaKrish2 күн бұрын
It’s never really about the camera. It’s all about your eye for taking interesting photos. You could give any great photographer an old Kodak disposable film camera from the 80’s and they could get some amazing shots. Not sure who said it, but the best camera you can have is the one that’s with you. Same thing could be said about a musical instrument. A $100 kids’ guitar could sound incredible on a track by John Mayer. Conversely, give me John Mayer’s guitar and I don’t suddenly become John Mayer.

I highly recommend the Sony RX100-7, or even the -5a. I highly recommend the rubber grip for the right side, costs $15US, it makes griping the camera easier. I use the heck out of my cameras, the Sony RX100-7 is the only compact extending lens cameras that has lasted 4 years. I have had 2 pocket cameras in the past, a Canon Powershot S100 and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50. The S100 failed after 1 year. And the DMC-ZS50 failed after 23 months. The Panasonic USA-contractor repair facility said that I abused the camera and refused to fix it under warranty even though there was 1 month left under the free extended warranty.

I love your smartphone vs pro camera videos, it gives us so much perspective on what you can do with these tiny tools in our pockets, it's crazy. And regarding the files, I personally just use lightroom to share my raw files between all my devices. The other good option is dropbox, have it logged in on 4 devices and it's easy to upload them and access them from the other devices (or computer on their website)

Google was one of the first, if not the very first company to bring computational photography (namely their HDR+ algorithm) to Smartphones. Apple and other Android OEMs were way behind in terms of processing once the Google Nexus 5x and 6p hit. Same goes for their computational raw files.
@Trajce_Hybrid2 күн бұрын
Take a normal raw photo than google photos background blur, you can control the blur and also habe the raw file

I think you took too long (for my liking) to answer the title of this video. You wanted us to watch your video #viewlength so you dropped your answer towards the end of the video. Disappointing vibe, because your visuals are nice on the eyes. However watching your video in order to find out this objective information felt LONNNNNG. bye. And thank you for the visuals

those new smartphones are incredible now for the quality that they produce, like now even if you are a pro photographer and could find it a bit hard to know if the pic from a phone or a pro camera, next phone I would like to suggest to try is Sony Xperia 1 Mark Vi, give it a try, the portrait mode in that phone is way beyond the other phones.

@@daytonaukpc9387 It does matter. I have a pixel 6A made in Vietnam. And if given a choice, I would prefer my next phone from Vietnam over China.

Loved many Nikon DSLR bodies, D850 my last, after moving on from Canon, go figure. But I moved on to Sony and now also shoot Leica mostly though refuse to sell the A1 and a few lens as I feel that will be my last “mirrorless” and it is such a fine one at that. But yeah, I love my Q3 but my M10-R is the camera that leaves the house with me everyday. Do it Evan! Find an M that works for you, just my .02 worth.

I find the colors out the box from this phone are lovely, not overly digital, no crazy in camera processing, just clean shots, and they're a dream to edit compared to other phones iv had, o have a similar issue with the noise in desaturated shadows and in low light

A folder with the Raw images is supposed to be automatically created and to transfer them use Quick Share. I don't know if there is a Quick Share app for Apple, but there is one for Windows.

I really like that you're unbiased and always trying out different brands, this content would be of great help to those who aspire to create but don't use a certain brand for any reason, however I would love to know your opinion on the Pixel AI editing, I think it's called "Magic Editor if I'm not mistaken, Great video as always.

To transfer files from an Android phone you literally can plug your usb-c to c cable onto your computer and phone, change the charging option on your phone to file transfer then your computer will see your phone as an external drive. No need to delete the extra jpegs no need to transfer to Google drive.
@RanftEvan3 күн бұрын
Yeah that didn’t work with this phone. Not sure why. You are right tho it’s been that way with every other android device I’ve used
