This is really cool. How does it work? Does it also work in plastics?
@expandmachinery1805 Жыл бұрын
It oscillates the tool in the Z direction in a sine wave. The frequency and amplitude of the sine wave is controlled using a G8.5 P2 I{freq} K{amp}
@greenlightmachinery Жыл бұрын
@@expandmachinery1805 That's very cool. Is the oscillation in Z synchronized at all to the spindle speed or is it strictly moved based on the parameters of the G8.5 P2 command?
@expandmachinery1805 Жыл бұрын
@Greenlight Machinery it is synchronized with the spindle speed. Rate and amplitude can be programmed using a G Code.

I like to take about 40% pf the thread depth on the first pass on aluminum. Harder materials I start at .010" as the first pass and play with it.

Which control system is this for?
@expandmachinery18052 жыл бұрын
This is specifically for the Syntec 2000B control. But the theory is the same for Mitsubishi and Fanuc. The Syntec uses "G4.1Pxxxx" for the Sync Code. Other controls use "M1000" and above or "!Lxxxx" as sync codess. If you have a choice I prefer "!Lxxx" because it is easier to spot in the program.
