As someone who grew up in an underserved and undesired neighborhood in Corona, I witnessed many of the challenges that often come with such environments. Unfortunately, the area is known for its high crime rates, including gang activity and the visible presence of homelessness, often involving substance abuse. Law enforcement interactions are sometimes unpredictable, and arrests and raids are frequent as well as pursuits. While I was fortunate to live in a somewhat safer part of the city, crime remains a major concern across Corona. Personal safety is a priority for anyone living in or visiting the area. I myself have been a victim of robberies and have even experienced assaults by local gang members, which highlights the need for vigilance

We purchased our Southridge Home Brand New in 1986. Well sort of, it wasn't even built yet. 4 bdrm, 2 bath and 2 car garage. 1,800 sq. ft. for a cash price of $89,999, you can't find that around here anymore. There was very little here in South Fontana at that time (mostly just homes) and we have seen a lot of changes. According to the City Council back then, this was to be the "ELITE" neighborhood with our own Shopping Centers, Police Station, Fire Station, Schools and Parks. The City Council painted quite the pretty picture for us, and it was nice for a while. It took what seemed like forever to get the promised amenities and before that happened they voted to allow low income apartments to be built. The area went downhill from there. We raised our family here and have seen our ups and downs with Gangs, Crime and City officials who at times seem to have forgotten we are here. But still we remain because over all it's not the worst place in So Cal to live .
