the Mets weren't even in the top 5 choices for Alonso... His top choices were Tampa... Chicago Cubs.. San Francisco... NY Yankees and the Red Sox.. None of those teams have offered more than the Mets... If he won't sign with the Mets at their price.. Why would they bid against themselves... The Mets need to move on and check out their other options... This dude is not a good clubhouse guy
