As a standard shop seller, my experience has been that there is currently no eBay business customer support - buyers have been able to take the P*** on all types of non-legitimate returns. Ebay have allowed it with open arms & "support" has been non-existent.

Why not just meet the fees in the middle somewhere between private accounts and business accounts? It's OK saying business sellers could sell more items but they're still paying high fees for those items! You must be aware that the main reason that some business sellers use private accounts is the cost. I don't begrudge private sellers any of the offers that they get, but there isn't good value for businesses.

I think it is a great move that genuine private sellers can sell for free. The problem is the the sheer amount of "false private sellers" on the platform. Did you need help finding them, I know of at least 20, including one who is so brazen and has a youtube following of 7k and has been selling on a private account for over a year. How exactly are you going to identify them? Let us report them and actually look into it otherwise it is very unfair and more business will be tempted to sell on private accounts.

Why does ebay continue to ignore alerts from the community given to them about buyers who are persistently abusing the SNAD / INR protection loopholes? sellers have to leave ‘negative’ feedback with a green tick, and the buyers are subsequently able to hide their their feedback. perhaps you would care to comment? or perhaps you aren’t listening to your top rated sellers? There are current eBay users scamming others on a large scale, and eBay is enabling them despite seller warnings.

Ebay should concentrate on the basics first. Getting rid of loads of pointless item specifics, a search engine that actually works, results showing UK items first not USA (This is so infuriating that it keeps showing USA listings in UK results first, its so basic to fix). Getting rid of Personal/Business accounts. Just have one type of account, one fee structure for all. ebay wont survive unless it gets back to the simplicity of what made ebay with paypal big in the first place. Gimmicky AI wont change the basics

I just spoke to a specialist from ebay regarding improving my sales, and they told me ebay search used to work putting as many words in ebay titles as possible but not anymore, fewer words the better as it matches users searches better. Seller performance dropped from top rated to below standard due to natural disaster (Hurricane Debby) that caused some delays in shipping via usps. Defects were removed yet they are telling me I have to wait until the next evaluation on the 20th next month to get my account back to top rated. Crazy this is how eBay treats its honest hard working sellers

We're just in the process of shutting our Ebay shop after 17 years. We have been exemplary sellers .... feedback of 12265, just a handful of negs ... never our fault. I've always thought that excellent sellers with say a minimum 10 years of top feedback, should be exempted from negative feedback, as it's pretty obvious we try our hardest, and run our businesses in the correct manner and spirit. So, we just got a neg from a bloke that called us dodgy & recommended people stay away from us ....... Ebay wouldn't remove it, they said it was valid feedback, I said it was slander, so it's adios from us. Five days in, and life's already way more relaxed.... no more Ebay messages in my inbox to deal with.

I have been a business seller on eBay for 12 years. I love selling on eBay. The only problem I have is most sellers overcharge on the p & p. I have lost a lot of money on overcharged postage over the years. If you buy a number of items from the same seller they quite often send the items it one parcel and charge you postage of each item which is so unfair! Even if you ask sellers if they combine postage and they say yes and still overcharge you. Something really needs to be done to solve this problem.

Ebay are a bunch of rip offs. Their fee's are a disgrace. Taking a LARGE percentage of the postage costs is just wrong. Pure and utter GREED.

Instead of Roadshows how about investing in bringing back work to the UK from your poorly trained offshore call centres? I pay at least 10k a year in eBay yet I have spent 5 hours on the phone over the last month with 3 failed supervisor call backs......................
