I used to just make casual runs like 4 years ago and ended up hitting 1:59. It takes a lot of time and optimization, but you’ll get there.

Jet Vermillion is the best in drifting, toughest armor rating and it's boost hits over 600km/h. Also, this machine can maintain high speed as it slowly drops down to his max speed again. Use this to your advantage and break every time record on each track. His machine is used in lots of speedruns.

Speedrunning any of the 3 gba F-Zero games seems to be the only time when placing in 1st actually causes time loss due to being able to skip to the course results screen if you place in 2nd place or lower

Originsl had 5 laps per race, 99 has only 4 so it's not so bad. Still tough though, especially with the stingray

People kept talking about how difficult this track is going to be when it drop in f-zero 99, so I looked it up. This guy made it look so easy that I didn't pick up on the difficulty until the 3rd lap or so. That S turn is insane, I kept wondering why he was hitting it like that. Those gravity walls on that long straightaway. The bombs throughout. I can't wait

2:15 is pretty far up there, just keep making some runs and get more comfortable with the mechanics; you’ll get below 2:10 in no time!

The original and 99 control and function differently so your best best is to practice it on 99 when you get it
