there are 2 type of baked textures for Mario Kart 8 a red and yellow colored one. this one is baked shadow [green channel] and Ambient occlusion [red channel]. and a baked lighting for static light emitters (like bowser castle's chandeliers or magma illuminating rocks/walls).

I am not able to record tour, its not a mainline Mario kart game and it looks the exact same as mk8dx so I decided not to include it. The main purpose of my "evolution of" videos is to show off my Custom tracks in comparison to the originals

@@Waddlejpgshells only does nothing cause you’d still need to drop to about 6-12th place and be a good distance from first to even have about a 2.5% chance (iirc) to get a blue shell after the 30 second timer expires and then get to first as quick as possible and throw the blue shell immediately, whereas blue shell custom guarantees the blue shell gets picked even in first so it’s just a matter of getting the box in first as quick as possible and throwing the item immediately, and the 30 second timer doesn’t exist here. Frantic items is still better since you get a higher chance to get the blue shell, so you just need to get the box a good distance away then get to first quickly, so it’s more consistent than shells only and it give you power items and mushrooms to have a better chance at getting to first quickly TL;DR: Shells only is inconsistent af and you still need to wait for the 30 second timer and get to first from 6-12th still so that’s why it’s not banned

Yeah I am still figuring out what textures suit the track best. The vines will probably be removed as they make 0 sense, but I personally like the ferns around the track, so I don't plan on changing them at the moment. Thanks for the feedback!
