I used Bon Ami cake to clean glass and surgical cotton. that Bon Ami lasted 50 years as gold leaf specialist...Great video smiley! I would "lift" leaf by putting tip only on ½ the leaf...but your leaf was really good..perfect & wasn't "cloudy" Paolo

I bought a 2 and a 3 about a year ago. They are fantastic brushes and worked brilliantly. Sadly though, they shed quite a lot of hair. The Roman quill is superb, no issues at all there.

Hi Wayne...Thanks and.Well done.............I am interested to know which paint I can use on a one-off....gloss paint appears too thick to brush on the letters accurately.....or maybe I just need a stiffer brush.....Your advise appreciated. Thanks

How long do you recommend to leave the gold before you burnish it? Also, what are the measurements for the water size?
@karmicfenix
@karmicfenix Жыл бұрын
I saw someone else say that when it's dry it's best to burnish very softly with cotton, and you know when it's dried when it's shiny and not wrinkly. Then you put a layer of enamel in the back where you want it to stay gold or silver and then you wash off the excess with soapy water and a very soft sponge it will take a while but it's best not to rub it too hard so you don't lift the paint and the gold leaf you want to keep.

And for the water size if you use the gelatine that comes in sheets you'll see it has a diamond pattern, I don't remember the website but it said 2 diamonds for every pint of boiled water make sure the gelatine is completely dissolved and not hot when applying it to the glass.
