Love the way you did the test, thank you for that. There is a consistent difference in tone, to my ears, which I'm pretty sure is due to the pickups on the Tele being essentially stacked buckers, so they are close to a single coil sound, but they have more mids. A bit warmer, slightly less defined. Except for the bridge, of course, where the Tele always has more meat than a Strat pickup. The Tele sounds pretty good at bridge, but does lack the hard bite you expect. Some of this can be compensated at the amps, I think.

Excellent presentation. No blah blah talk needed. I have a 52 reissue Tele in which I have installed the middle pickup. It sounds exactly the same to this video.

That's the push-pull tone control that activates the neck pickup in switch positions one and two. On this demo, I only did the switch position 1 with neck. I personally like that tone on these Players.
