Philadelphia citizens are the only people who look forward to jury duty. The courthouse is right next to Reading Terminal Market--best lunch ever while doing your civic duty! Don't get a steak there, though.

You don't put the gravy on the palabok noodles. Also it's likely due to the garlic flavor of the palabok that it messed up you taste for the peach mango pie. Some ppl say it's too sweet and some say it's not enough. Again i think it's what you eat before that could had meddle with your sense of taste. As for the gravy, i usually get an extra order of the large gravy, freeze it and then quarter it for individual portions like if i want to put it on my grocery bought frozen popcorn chicken. Usually add Lawry's seasoning and Habanero powder used for the Jollibee spicy chicken.

Forgive me if you’ve already explained but I didn’t understand why you needed the hose going out the floor. What is the purpose of? Is it to drain the grey water? Can the grey water just collect in the grey water container?
@LauraOnTheMove
@LauraOnTheMove Ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, the reason was to just be able to drain the grey water easier. It was just a feature I wanted to avoid having to remove the grey water container and carrying it out of the van and emptying it. It worked out great, but is certainly not necessary.

Oh wow, what stunning views! I got anxiety just looking at the the elevation 😅. We are heading to Zion and then day trip to Antelope Canyon, but I'll only stick to the lower elevation hikes. So, is there a viewing area at Horseshow bend with the iron fence? I can't otherwise handle elevation 😱If we drive from Zion NP at 8 am, can we reach Page, AZ by 10:30 (no stop in between)? We have to get to Vegas from Page AZ by 7 pm .
@LauraOnTheMove

Hi! Thanks for checking out the video! Yes, this is the section with the iron fence. You can totally just hang out there and get a great view! Yes, I do think that route would work. It would be a lot of driving but worth it!

If people just knew drum sanders are not even close to as scarry as professionals make it seem. Just watch a good video on how to stop on every pass which is the hardest part.

I have been going to the Reading Terminal Market since the late 1950s. Here are your grades: You did very well at Beiler's. A+ Herschel's? You got a very good tip. Another A+. Ranks with Pastrami Queen and Katz's @13:27...that is the problem with eating at the Reading Terminal Market. Also, better Asian is in abundance in the next neighborhood over @26:00...what did you say? DiNics also offers cheesesteaks. They won the award on a cable food channel for best sandwich. No grade here. @26:57...did you say ketchup? Where ya from? You didn't get to Bassett's? Incomplete, you will have to retake this course.

Hi Laura, did you do light sanding after the first coat of poly? If you did, how did you clean all the dust before applying the second coat? Thank you.
@LauraOnTheMove
@LauraOnTheMove Ай бұрын
Hi! I did not, The polly that we used said that if you applied the 2nd coat between 8 and 10 hours then you did not need to sand. We made every effort to hit that window in each room to make sure we didn't have to sand. The polly was made for floors, so if you find the same thing make sure your read the instructions to see if you can skip that step. It's been 1.5 years and we haven't had any issues with the floor refinish. Hope that helps!!

For an added fun hike, next time take the Boulevard Trail down to the Appalachian Trail, turning right (northbound) for less than 2 miles to Charlie’s Bunion. From there, it’s 4 miles southbound to Newfound Gap, where it’s super easy to get a hitch down to your car at Alum Cave trailhead!

Thank you for all your videos! I'm building my van space. Don't know anything lol I want to make a recess like you have at the back on the drivers side. When you put the framing around that what did you attach the wood to to keep it in place. Thanks so much! Your videos are really useful 😊
@LauraOnTheMove
@LauraOnTheMove Ай бұрын
Hi! 👋 Thank you for checking out the van build!! I just kept stacking the layers on each other, I started with the wood along the frame of the van and screwed that into the metal ribs of the van. Then I screwed the sides of the frame into those pieces and the front frame into the sides. I also tried to keep the front of the frame very snug between the floor and the ceiling. The wood I used for the walls on that section are very thin, I think just 1/4 inch sheets, not even plywood. I used a template and measured a few times to get the size as close as possible. I screwed them into the frame tightly, so it wasn't frail but it was also very light weight. Once I painted it all white, it blended together really well.

I rode ragbrai in 2009. Aside from not from not having the time to adequately train. The week long ride was tough especially due to 3-4 hrs. of sleep nightly. Young people "mostly college age teams" nightly kept us awake with music and beer drinking after midnight. Frankly having some respect for others and quieting down by 9 pm should be a rule so people can get rest.

Nice I got big project coming up want to get 3 bedrooms and larger 12x20 dinning/living room floor area. How long did you need to rent the sander for? Im tempted for the week amount. Any idea how much sand paper you used? Hoping the drum floor sander can get least 1 room done per round of grit.
@LauraOnTheMove
@LauraOnTheMove 2 ай бұрын
We rented the sander the weekend so we had to work fast, but I would recommend for the week. I think we used 2 of each grit per room. I noticed it just took longer if you tried to stretch the sandpaper, so it depends on you patients 😂

Hi I hope you see this message! I’m traveling to glacier National park by myself as well and was wondering how safe you felt and if you had any tips?
@LauraOnTheMove
@LauraOnTheMove 2 ай бұрын
Hi! I felt very safe, but as a solo hiker, I always had bear spray with me. The area has bear sightings on a regular basis and all hikers should have it just in case. I usually go on popular trails, but there are stretches where I’m alone and I was happy I had it. I do recommend the popular trails. They’re popular for a reason plus having people around helps incase you need something! Have fun!

Going to Glacier for 5 nights 4 days July 2025. I am retired and 62 yrs young. This is one of the hikes I have plotted on my Giaia GPS. What time did you get to the parking area? I am staying in East St. Mary at the KOA tenting it. I plan to get to the parking area around 5:30ish, to guarantee a spot. How many hours did it take you and what was your pace per hour? Sorry for all the questions.🤔Subscribed also👍.😂That was awesome right out of the chute you and that mountain goat. He looked at you like “ Excuse me, my bad. Coming thru.” You were so polite saying “Go ahead.”👍

😂 Just needed to usher him along if he didn't understand! I made it into the park before 6 and the parking lot was full, the turnout was a great find, but did add to my hike. The start of the hike went fairly quick except for taking pictures. The climb up to the lookout really did me in. I recommend going very slow instead of trying to get it done quickly. I was extremely tired getting back to the van. The trail was pretty empty on my way back and I made it back around 4. When I was there, they had special requirements for the shuttles and you needed a pass. I would recommend studying the shuttle map and heading down the opposite way instead of making a loop then taking the shuttle back to logan pass. It would cut off some miles!
