you can do that with any varnish - no need to buy expensive stuff- but of course, this is another selling stuff video like 80% of youtube vids

Damar varnish is really cheap, tried some others that didnt do anything. Needs to be sticky like tree sap :)

I suspect the transfer fluid is a weak pale shellac solution or a weak glycerine solution. Inkjet transparency film is i believe coated with glycerine to create a surface for ink to adhere to but its not as good as paper so the ink can be easily shifted from the transparency surface.

Anyone who gave this a thumbs down should go look up Shawn's work. Your looking at the work of a scroll master. One of the best. Thanks Shawn and awesome video. I'd love to see more on the other fill leaf elements. How to decorate around scrolls. That's what I struggle with but I am practicing and getting better and better.
