Loved these days of BTCC. All these different manufacturers...Alfa Romeo went from champs to chumps this season, Ford slipped back, as did BMW, as Renault and Vauxhall came up strong, as did Honda. James Thompson had a massive shunt in practice which curtailed his season unfortunately.

This was Mia's first gig,she would have been 6.She 14 now,and still comes to gigs with me&her nan.She knows all the songs off by heart.First 4 years she was so shy,but confident to talk to lads now.

This shows why Clarkson flopped as a general talk show host. It was a messy all over the place interview. Would have loved a few questions on that amazing 1999 season and especially about the missing wheel - a lost opportunity.

This must have been awful for Murray to get through. You can see the pain on his face in his to-camera shots and hear it in his voice. Murray had the bumbling old grandfather image but he was ex-army and as tough as tough can be, so you can really feel the genuine heartbreak James dying caused. I was 4 years into being an F1 fan at this point and I was very sad about it. Felt like losing a friend, in some ways.

Oh, I now have a VW campervan (with a porta potty thing) and two dogs, Wallace and Cedric, his son. Do you have any space in a field where we might possibly visit and stay overnight in Wales for a change. Not imminent. Possibly not till next spring. But we could have a catch up while "me and the boys" would be fairly self-sufficient. Just a thought.
