Python would at best be fifth for web development behind JS, Ruby on rails, dart with flutter and php. Making an argument that you can use python for wasm is a bad one, cause you can use so many languages that do that and python isn't even the second best for that. Pyscript does exist and could be useful, but because of the limitations that you can basically use no libraries, can't edit DOM elements and still needs JS, it takes away every reason why you would use python in the first place.

ruby is dying, dart and flutter are niche, and php is arguably better for web, although the syntax alone is wildly off-putting

Godot (game engine, biggest Unity competitor in the indie scene I would say) uses GDScript, which is really similar to Python. So not necessarily the second best option there (although not the same as GDScript). Anyway, good talk!

You are a great presenter: clear, articulate, and to the point without a lot of chatty irrelevancies--a rarity on YT.

If only python didn't combine every single bad feature a language could have, except for perhaps cluttered syntax. Looking at you there, clojure

Awesome talk! I've been looking for the explanation about functional/declarative vs imperative programming everywhere, and this is the best explanation I could find (so far). Although the focus is on functional programming.

I recommend you search for "bartosz milewski imperative vs declarative" on KZbin and you'll find a great video!

Thank you for the talk! I want to make the same journey with Clojure. At 7:27 - you can use reversed(xs), which is a lazy iterator (does not copy) and does not mutate.
