Following what metrowash commented(they replied under normalcarwash's comment), I would recommend checking the diaphragm of the presoak solenoid to make sure it is not worn down and leaking through when it is closed. If you aren't looking at getting a used WW 2.0 to retrofit, Blastoff would be a good system to check out as it's inexpensive and uses no proprietary parts.

Ummm.... you didn't collect any quarters in this video. You just spent a lot of time and money trying to make electricity and water and moving parts work in a wet environment. Careful, people might get the wrong idea of the luxurious life of the Car Wash Owner :-D

Presoak leak- check the foam generator on top of the drivers side of the gantry. First gen wizards used brass fittings and they could go bad with caustic chemical. You should also have two solenoids in the low pressure box on the driver's side. Make sure the solenoid for the top boom is closing. You can pull one of the wires off and turn on the presoak pump to check it. Rocker panel blaster can be fixed by a welder pretty easily. I use 0503 IMEGs on the side nozzles and 1506 IMEGS on the top boom if it only has two Check you alarm history to see why the machine reset. These machine are not complicated but the 2.0 has better diagnostic features. Before you put in a brand new auto in consider a used water wizard 2.0. You can get them for less than 10k and they will mount on the same rails. They are very capable machines

I don't understand why they made the bays shorter by putting the wall across the top.... why would they not want taller bays to fit customers with taller profile vehicles? That amongst all the other things - I think I would make an offer, but a LOW one.

Re bay height I was thinking the same during the edit. My iba takes up to 7ft 6 and these bays really are short. It’s a very odd site in a small town

Yeah we use a little bit more than othered but we get lots of good feedback. Except when I didn’t turn the air down as the heat started to ramp…small adjustment and it’s slowly running off cars again even if people put the foam brush on a dry >100 degree 🛻 🤦‍♂️

I had a pinhole in one of the plastic T's on the back side, and it was pulling air in just enough to make one bay lose prime constantly. I replaced every single piece of hose and fitting and the LAST ONE was the one with the pin hole in it. It never fails! Works like a charm now.

You have nothing to to pump or pull the chemical to the bay. The reason pre soak is T ed under the rinse tank and tied into your Hp pump is so the pump will draw chemical once it's activated in the bay and the solenoid opens. Without anything to move the chemical you will not get chemical in the bay. On my JC pump stands I turn up the presoak pressure on the by pass regulator to decrease delivery time
@BayouBrit
@BayouBrit Ай бұрын
Not quite. The presoak is driven by a boost pump. The cat pump doesn’t run at all for pre-soak. It was a wild problem to troubleshoot

Interesting all 4 of my JC stands run through my Hp pump
@metrowash
@metrowash Ай бұрын
You're right, terrible design by coleman. If you didn't disconnect the wire on the rotary switch then the HP pump is still running and the higher pressure is preventing the the chemical from coming out. You're going to have to take the wire off the second stack of the rotary switch so the pump does not run. I believe it's an orange wire. You can tee a solenoid bank and inject air if you want it foamy. Although brass will last five-ten years I would recommend using stainless fittings when dealing with tire cleaner or presoak.
@normalcarwash
@normalcarwash Ай бұрын
I second this assessment. It seems like there's not enough OOMPH to push that presoak into the line with the HP water on. If it's not that, I'm as stumped as you!

I'll never understand charging $18 for a top wash and not $20. In the customer's mind, they are the same price. They still have to put a $20 bill into the machine. I have yet to meet one that thinks those $2 is the difference between them getting a wash or not.
