Gouldian finches so beautiful to see still in the wild. I remember first seeing them as part of a card and book series from the Gould League about 60 years ago at school.

I think is a made up vid as strawberry finches are native to India, Nepal, bengaldesh.. while gouldians and owls are from Australia

@@ananthu6168 my bad strawberry finches is native to Bangladesh but that was a Crimson Finch they’re native to Australia.

@@chiclids it also looks very similar to the red billed fire finch which is fron Africa . They all are similar looking birds from different parts of the world. Wonders of nature it seems.

+Tryinglittleleg WRONG !! www.natureaustralia.org.au/our-impact/wildlife/northern-aus-animals/ The Gouldian finch is a charming and truly spectacular creature. And like so many of Australia’s amazing plants and animals, it only exists here. Though common in captivity, tragically this little bird’s breeding population has been reduced to less than 3,000 in the wild. That’s fewer birds than you’d find in many city parks! - See more at: www.natureaustralia.org.au/our-impact/wildlife/northern-aus-animals/#sthash.9ln1JZIH.dpuf

Thats something i noticed too, you barely ever get such numbers pf juveniles in captive bred gouldians. Thats a heck a lot young birds.

As well as Gouldians in various stages of maturity there are Double-barred and Crimson Finches, Chestnut-breasted Mannikins and one Yellow-rumped Mannikin at 1.38-1.43
