Fab days, real nitty gritty days. I was a Birmingham bus driver in the days of Fleetlines, mk1 mk2 Metrobus's and the fab Lynx. I was typed trained on the Leyland national too, but never drove a national in service as they were soon withdrawn after i started in 1990. I was at acocks green for a few month then moved to Quinton bus garage when Quinton closed in June 1997 i moved to Yardley Wood garage until 2011.

By Jove, takes me back to my early twenties. Here I would have been twenty three and remember the old blue West Midlands Travel and orange Chase buses! The old bus station - better than the chaotic current one. I recall the 991 to Lichfield, as I used to catch it, in addition to the 392-396!

My only criticism is neither of the Coppers end their transmissions with "Over." or "Out.", you'd expect them to be hot on that..

142029 is now at Chasewater Railway with 142030. Both were with on a long term loan from Northern Rail to defunct rail franchise First Great Western with 142001/009/063/064/068 from December 2007 until November 2011 where the ones until October 2011 was 142029/064 and the short term loan ones from December 2007 until December 2008 were 142004/028/062/067/070. They are crappy trains 🚂. The toilets 🚽 are on the 142 pacers are in the DMSL. The seats are uncomfortable. They are bone 🍖 shakers. They are not like 👍 the class 158s which are more comfortable contains a carpet and central heating. The front of the windows 🪟 are 3. Around 60 x 2 car class 142 pacers are in the scrapyard. All standard class accommodation only where people can sit anywhere they like 👍. 🙂
