Cantique has 3 versions. This i the third. It is still original,it's not remix by someone else. The band itself made it in 3 versions. Learn then talk

First time I heard this song, I thought it was an 80's new wave song, nope it's pretty recent so it definitely has that retro techno sound. Excellent vocals too.

I'm glad so many people are rediscovering Die Form again, but people miscategorize this music under so many different genres. I know you bombarded by those label on Spotify, Google, and even KZbin - However, those people are generalizing according to a baseline script. I've loved and loved the movement for decades. Die Form has been making music since 1979 under the bands founder Philippe, so they've had a constant presence in the Industrial and Gothic scenes for over four decades. This French duo is considered Underground Subculture music royalty. They're the "only" band, which successfully blurred the line between both genres, during the 80's and 90's. Elaine P. has an outstanding "Operatic" voice, that's instantly recognizable anywhere. When "Kontrol Faktory" and "Helter Skelter" were the longest running Goth, Industrial, EBM clubs in Hollywood's, Underground Subculture history, it was simply called "GIO" for short. The formation of "Gothic-Industrial-Opera" was the perfect bridge between the hard and soft music. Bruce Perdue and DJ Courtney would spin Die Form's magical sound, with a transitional format to prime the evenings crowds ready for a maximum base, hard-edge, mostly German EBM extravaganza. But of course, this was a hardcore group of people, who had no difficulty in throwing out the miscellaneous "tourist", or, we made poser's feel so excluded that we'd push and stomp them away right thru the exit doors. Yes, we were mean and sarcastic sometimes; but, it's who we were. There were real and serious rules we used to socially monitor ourselves with - We couldn't allow anyone to violate the social-norms, specifically because we couldn't have any police involvements. There was a private neighborhood behind the Probe, but we were already convicted, in the court of opinion, that we were all supposedly Satanist's. Once in a while, you'd get some loser, who'd invite themselves into your private conversations, demanding attention by yelling a, "Hail Satan... !!!", "How cool is Satan... ???", or bringing a vile of blood on themselves and invite you too, "Take a sip and join the Brotherhood...." Absolutely, No Way. How uncivilized - We'd harvest our own for quality control reasons. We could smell a narc. twenty miles out. We learned to police ourselves and the general rule was we'd let the ladies choose the guy, she wanted to pursue. So there is absolutely no miscommunication. However, today's Goth's attend the clubs off Hollywood boulevard, where I almost always get into fights, because they didn't know the rules: However, these "kids" are far more casual, friendly, and talkative when compared to the former "Underground Subcultures" membership, who were farmore hardcore. Now, speaking as a editor for numerous magazines' - I've seen it all. So people ask about clubs, more than the music itself. "Real Goth's" should attend Das Bunker in Los Angeles and, if, you make a pilgrimage to Deutschland - Always remember to ask anyone under 25 years old and they'll guide you in English. If they invite to meet you the - Always be on time. The Germans take their clubs and music extremely seriously, and, their also very proud of their artist's. You'll easily spent €1,000 just on music alone. This music is now considered to soft for EBM, but the overarching umbrella-term is Goth music, if, you were to classify it in today's terms, then Die Form could fit quite nicely into a Dark Synth-wave format. Have fun people... !!!
