Hello, CMDR. I believe the name was given at a certain point by either players or an author and that it just kind of stuck. I could be wrong about that. I'm under the impression that their official name is what matters, and that it likely implies that they are in fact guarding something. Guarding what though? We can only assume.

I've owned elite since 2016 and until a couple months ago when I got involved in the group effort to flip Sol from Mother Gaia to Sol Workers Party, which lead me to Raxxla, I feel like I never actually played the game. Like, I've been a fancy NPC for the last 7 years and 9 months. Now Im consuming as much TDW/Raxxla/Guardian info as I can and beginning my own search. Albeit on the backs of people who have been at it much longer. Also, I'm a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. That... is actually a massive understatement. Learning about Pink Floyd connections in Elite made my day and I hope they're more of them and they are a major part of the puzzle. Because if knowing things about Floyd can help solve this riddle... I am like... subject matter expert status haha

@@ChadFromSpace Awesome to hear! Floyd fans almost seem like family at this point. I'd be curious to hear your take on it. It's definitely a big thing, and well worth further discovery and research. It's too uncanny and too inline at this point, for myself. As for the passenger mission, I can't recall what happened with it, but I still have not found the station. The Sol Workers Party system theory is pretty dang good, and great to see it got such great traction. Awesome timing with Cocijo as well. I can say that 3 (?) years after the release of this video the first Maelstrom, which was very HP Lovecraft-ish, arrived and it parked itself in the Hyades star cluster. That was interesting to see, along with there being eight of them.

​@@CMDRGURU951 haha, no doubt! Its so crazy how much Ive been missing, just trading, and mining and killing pirates. Which, certainly, all of those things are a ton of fun, but man.... discovering this whole other element to the game was like peeling back the cover you know?! As far as trying to get the permit on Triton removed, yeah, it was great. Awesome is.... a word, maybe not the one I'd use for Cocijo's timing though lmao. It showed up, and in the literal sense of the word, literally the morning we flipped influence from MG to SWP. I woke up at, grabbed my phone and opened inara to check, SWP was at like 31.9 and MG was at 30.9 aannnddddd Cocijo was there. Could not believe it. As for the theory itself... I had some reservations. Triton is the 8th moon of Neptune by orbital period but its like, eh, a bit of a stretch. Also Neptune is technically an ice giant. I know, iTs An IcE gIaNt lol. But, Ive met the guy who made the original post and had the idea and we've talked a ton, great, just great dude, and I think it's definitely worth trying. It was the first large BGS operation Ive been involved with and just like the lore and mysteries that abound, a huge part of the game I had been missing out on. Trying to figure out, just like, where to even get started. Im really interested in the guardians and everything Ive found out about them. I flew out the Proteus lab site the other day, that was awesome. Kinda shocked no one has ever found a guardian site further than that, like towards the California nebula. So, I think Ill start there and see if I can turn anything up. It almost seems like they were expanding that way and that Trapezium system is just where they bumped in the Thargoids. Anyway, Ive watched most of your videos on the subject and they were all really excellent man! Time to go turn over some rocks!

@@CMDRGURU951 What I was getting at was a spot of camping.... Remember the old days of setting up a listening post with a cool running DBX with everything turned off? A lot of the previous signals and clues in the game have been very time specific at certain locations.

For what purpose would the lie be manufactured? I've struck the balance in my life. I can walk away whenever I please, complete or do whatever I please at any point. I'm familiar with addiction in the context of substance abuse and know the difference here. Elite Dangerous is not toxic or negative for me, and to hear such stagnant frustration is hard to comprehend. However, I'm not doubting that it's possible. I've gotten close. Raxxla has an infrequently implied existence. Forum posts which directly state the object exists in-game, and is findable. Countless bits of geometry that all harken back to the Hexagonal Icon, not to mention what you've shared in these videos. An abnormal connection forms between Humans, Thargoids and Guardians when using Hexagon geometry as a base. I believe there is something tangible, but Human Mythos blinds our perspective as we attach more and more mystical properties to seemingly natural phenomena. Ockham's Razor. So many abstract but powerful theories have emerged on the basis of "Finding Raxxla" only to widen our understanding about a completely different aspect of the game. So many oddities, bits and bobs left for us to understand. Many argue Raxxla could be the key to understanding the secret bits of lore, but I digress. It seems much more difficult to construct a decade old mystery with thousands of avenues but no conclusion. How do you keep this facade up or create these avenues to begin with? Contradictions are minimal. Especially considering their financial downturn, why haven't they utilized Raxxla as the ultimate Attention Grabber? So many questions. This choice would only burn Fdev as I understand it.

@@CMDRGURU951 The permit will never be granted, because Raxxla is not in the game. It's just a piece of Lore to keep us guessing. The problem is with Raxxla, is that anything other than a portal to another galaxy / universe (which won't exist seeing as Frontier are inept at decent content creation within the game) or access to invincible shields / weaponry where all Thargoids can be destroyed with one shot (for example) - it will just be a massive let down for the player base. Raxxla has been so hyped up for years and years, that anything other than something simply mind-blowing, will just the biggest anti climax in the history of Elite. Which leaves only one possible explanation - it doesn't exist, and knowing Frontier - it probably never has been in the game. It has all been a ruse to keep players interested in the game. In terms of Lore - the LFT 509 explanation - explained here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWLNq4yimZ6ofsk - is the closest thing I've seen to a reasonable explanation of the Dark Wheel location. A system with a gas giant, 8 moons, ZERO POPULATION, but an active economy. And it's within the bubble - that fits the lore. The fact that LFT 509 is hidden behind a permit lock that will never be granted also adds to the evidence that Frontier simply don't have Raxxla in the game - because they simply don't know what to create FOR Raxxla, because whatever they do potentially create, will all fall short of the player base expectations, or will be something that they can't grant to all cmdr's. A massive shame seeing as Raxxla is the biggest mystery in Elite, and Elite Dangerous as a game, is probably in the last stages of it's life in 2024...
