I know their pain. Once I was at a rays game and the ball thrown my direction bounced of the top of my glove and on the ground and the guy in front of me snatched the ball and started to kiss it.

Wow. Several people posted ot but apparently all the "experts" spouting off either canr read, dont comprehend very well what they read , or are too lazy to read. Rule 6.01(a)5 covers this exact scenario. There is no interference here.

I hate the give the ball to someone else thing. Even to little kids. Thr ball can mean as much or more to the catcher as well. They also might have kods at home to give it to. Hate watching people giving pressure to give the ball to a random kid you dont know.

What world is this anymore? So what he did not give the ball to someone he did not know or probably see. To call him childish is childish. Fed up with trash comments like that because an opinion is considered a fact nowadays and it just is not. The man Has a passion for baseball clearly, he pays a big admission fee to get in so what's the problem. Isn't baseball supposed to help in keeping us feeling young and inspired? A man asked him to give a ball, he said no. End of conversation. Sorry little man, but if you are in my presence or general area ,just. Because "A MAN" she's me with a nice car and says hey give that to little man I'd tell him where he can put his head. This judgement based country we have become due to entitled people is disgusting. Sorry little man. Sorry for your health as well. But your condition did not pay his cost for admission. This commentary guy is a clown. Go Zack, keep up the passion. Wish I could still enjoy sports entertainment with your commitment.

This is just an incorrect video. He should not be called out simply for retreating back to first. This is explicitly stated in the rule book. OBR Rule 6.01(a)(5) Comment: If the batter or a runner continues to advance or returns or attempts to return to his last legally touched base after he has been put out, he shall not by that act alone be considered as confusing, hindering or impeding the fielders.

Grown men who love sports just know you’re closeted. What’s more g&y than someone who worships other men, wears jerseys with their last names on their back. Cheering for them like you’re their girlfriend or wife, crying when they win or lose, knowing all their names and stats and wanting to touch and catch their balls. Just admit that you’re closeted.

In the "history" of the MLB, its one of the easiest calls to make. As soon as the force is made at second and the runner returns to first and slides, his intent is to interfere and he does. Batter/runner should have been called out as well. Stop with the "history" crap and just say the umpire made a bad call.
