I will not try to compare Floor with Tarja. Both have vocal ranges that border on the extraordinary but their qualities are simply too different for any comparison to be fair to both, and they are close friends. What I will say is Tarja is the perfect singer for this song, and the backing track is absolutely right for it. I tend to prefer the more fantastical songs, so most (but by no means all) of my favourite songs are from the Tarja era. And, yes, all were written for her, with her vocal skills in mind, so you'd expect me to mostly like her versions. And that is absolutely how it is. But there ARE songs from other eras I like too, absolutely, and there ARE songs from this era I actually prefer with Floor. And, undoubtedly, if Tarja sang the later music, say with Floor, there will be later songs, I think Tarja nails better. To me, this is the way to enjoy music like this, find permutations you like, that work for you, rather than get all het up about who is "better". To me, it's so much better to listen to what you like, than worry about whether or not it's who you like.

i so wish I'd seen Nightwish with Jukka on drums, Kai in my opinion is just lame, no energy or showmanship. Jukka was a powerhouse and a showman.
