I've been setting eyelets for several decades without an anvil. All you need is a piece of scrap wood about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide on which to set the eyelets.

A heads up to anyone printing the pattern you need A4 paper which is longer but shorter in width than standard 8.5x11in printing paper. The pattern is centered for A4 paper which cuts off every seam of the pattern at the bottom of standard printing paper. If anyone knows a work around for this I'd like to know and I'm sure others would as well.

Hey Tony, I have purchased several of your hat plans and made them, but I had an idea for your next hat and no it's not what hat you should design next but what hat you do if it has a brim with a concealed wire what if you extended the length of the brim, do another set of hole punches, and roll the brim under itself and conceal the edge and wire in that I feel it would save on leather time and everything try it out on one of your older patterns and try it out and see what you think, just an 💡 I had

Hi Tony, grabbed the pattern this week, wanting to try it as my first (small) lasercut project. When importing the DXF (you graciously added) in lightburn it is huge .. meters wide ... As I couldn't find a blanket that large, I'm wondering what units did you save this in? (and big thanks for your continuous efforts, your patterns [aka my projects] are always clean and flawless thanks to you)
@deniaxdeniax6 күн бұрын
Hi again, it seems you work in mm (and I do as well). After some checks, the issue was: the 'auto-detect Units if possible' option on import in Lightburn. (Just so you know.) All good, multumesc !

You need to provide more information on what is needed to make these items. Your recommended list only brings you to a shop with even more options. Your exact hardware just takes you to a shop and not the specific tools. Help people out otherwise your requiring people to search for each individual item. This is not user friendly.
@mattv.74028 күн бұрын
Check 1:22 for the items. For sizing example, measure the straps on the pattern to see what size D ring and buckles are needed. Usually the pattern comes with an instructions document that lists these things more specifically as well. It's also a brand new pattern, so perhaps the hardware shop isn't updated with the kit yet, but again it shouldn't be hard to figure out once you print the pattern.
@fbutz049 күн бұрын
What are the specific tools used? It does not require a 3K lazer printer I hope.
