I've got the 76 key model still working swimmingly. This keyboard is deep in features and so difficult to master with my little brain. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around using the arpeggios and the grooves. What good is a groove that only plays in one key or will not slow down or speed up to suit your playing needs? But most importantly I need to make this workstation synth into a MASTER controller for ALL my hardware and VST's. Following the manual.. but can't seem to get it to control everything and able to record all MIDI onto my DAW program.

This is a very nice adaption to my DeviantArt story. I love it! I may even reupload it (the story) later with your changes in place of a certain character in my original work. The Character of Lindsey works great! Keep up the great work!

For sound output, you’ll have to run it through an audio interface As for using it as a midi controller, i used the m-audio uno midi-usb interface

@@BioSoftStudios I tried to run it through an audio interface. I figured there was a setting on the Equinox I had wrong. Can you do a tutorial video? If not it's still all love. Thanks.

i'll have to try that out sometime, as of now i only used it as a midi controller with m-audio uno in the meantime, i just forwarded your question to the generalmusic support group online

To use GEM Equinox as a controller without m-audio uno: Turn on the equinox, "the dream" performance: 01 should come up. On the far right of the equinox click on the Midi button. The display should now read Midi: Perf 001 ,The dream. Click on 'synth' using the F1 button. Click on 'out' using F3. The channel is the midi out channel. Set it to 1. Set the port to whatever MIDI Out port you are connecting the midi out cable to. The Equinox has two midi ins, two midi outs and two midi thru's. So selecting the port is either 1 or 2, for midi out 1 port or midi out 2 port "Sound" should be set to "off". Sound = on means the internal sound of the performance will play simultaneously with the midi device. Sound = off means the internal sounds of the performance are disabled and only the midi device will sound when a key is pressed. In the midi master set 'common channel' to "off", set the 'port com ch out' to whatever midi out port you want to communicate the other device to. Set it the same as the midi port out you set above. I'd recommend setting both settings above to midi out port 1, rather than midi out port 2. SAVE THE PERFORMANCE. You should now be able play a key on the equinox and trigger the midi device. If not, the other device is either not setup correctly or you may have a bad midi cord. What software release on the Equinox are you using? To check, click on the 'system' button, then click on 'Other' using the the F4 button, the click on 'Battery & info" using the the F2 button . It should read 11-10-2000. That is the latest release. If you don't have this release let me know, I have it and can send it to you. You would need to update the Equinox with a floppy disk if you are not on 11-10-2000. The midi implementation on the Equinox was a little 'buggy' previous to this version. This version pretty much stabilized the midi functionality. You should also read chapter 12, user panel. The user panel is where you can set the 8 sliders and the 8 buttons below the sliders to control midi functions. For example, if you wanted to control reverb on the midi unit; and reverb was continuous controller #68, you can set slider number 1 to send CC #68 via midi to the unit, then as you moved the slider the reverb on the unit would increase or decrease depending on the position of the slider. I use the equinox to control the drawbars of a couple of different hammond units, so in effect the sliders act as hammond drawbars.

I’m having problems working with my motif I just got one and can’t play my samples anywhere else but only on the intergrated sample page I can’t see it as a voice after I load the file as a waveform how do I make it into a patch
