@@phoqueewe7230 Butyl is a sealant 😂 It’s for sticking stuff together and it creeps so not even good at reducing rattles lol. You were right about the last part though 🤣

We're in the sound deadening topic at the moment. Those were butyl rubber sheets specifically for sound deadening and reducing rattles. Where did he glue anything together? He stuck them down. One step at a time. I did the LS swap / 4L65, 4th gen rear and tank first, my 83 is a all go and no show however, it is a rust free car which was my biggest initial concern. Lots of work / cost but, the car drives amazing now, makes me smile every-time I step on it. I didn't have any of the rear-end centering problems, not sure why however, all my chassis parts are still OEM, so maybe that's it. Great times ahead, enjoy.

@@KINGFERROD does it go up after you wait awhile and try again? If so you need a new motor, they get hot and stop cool off and work a little. If not then you need to check all your adjustment and stop points behind the door panel.

@@KINGFERROD yeah take off the door panel and check those stops I pointed out in the video. See if they are stopping the window, if so adjust. If not see what it is hitting on stopping it then.

So figured out why it wasn't going all the up when i put the window motor in didn't have it set to where it was all the way up so i fixed that now its just adjusting it but thanks for the video sir😂😊😊

Good content. I finally pulled my stock one off and replaced it with an SLP grill. Question: The IROC splitter on the front of the car; has it been tested for effectiveness, and do you notice the difference in down force at higher speeds?

What you're doing is not sound deadening. You're reducing the resonance. By covering only a portion of the surface you're only changing it's pitch in sound but not deadening it. There's basically 2 parts when doing sound deadening. 1st layer is the resonance treatment where only flat surfaces are critical in having it. 2nd layer is the sound proofing. This is where the more the better.

@@thatDavidMota he was parting the car out. Something happened when he was putting a new motor in, I think they messed up the converter or something, it got impounded or something at some point for sitting I believe then parted it out lol.

This was painful. I needed to center my `99 TA rear after putting some 315s in the back. I removed the single adjustable PHB and installed my on car adjustable bar that merely needed some rod ends.

@@Hassleback15 nah it’s manufacturing process. I thermal form lenses, then have designs applied to them and paint, then the housings are 3D printed which takes about 48 hours then finishing (paint etc for the chrome and black) finally sealing and shipping (about $100 after packaging). Even when I was able to afford to do these as injection molds no companies wanted to deal with such a low run (hundreds to 1000 sales at best over the next 5-10 years).

Sound deadening and sound BLOCKING are two different things though, right? This blocks the low frequency vibrations coming from the metal, but to block outside noise you still need to put some kind of foam insulator or something on top of this I assume?

Omg, this is amazing! I can see they're popular, as they're out of stock. How often do you replenish stock on these? Also, are the reverse lights clear, or a smoky white? I'll have to check mine again, but I thought that part was a bit clearer than what these look like. I could be wrong. Either way, amazing and I NEED some - mine are all messed up from age/sun damage.
