We try to avoid checked luggage. Why? Well, mis handling by airline staff, theft occuring at the claim area, mis routed and lost, theft of contents by so-called inspectors. Many regular airport workers have the uncontrolled TSA bypass key. Delays at baggage claim area can be 15 to 30 minutes.

thanks for your comments. All valid points. I do travel with cabin only for shorter durations. I made this post to provide some extra balance to the general KZbin imbalance. Relax on both styles due to the advantages of both approaches, stay safe and enjoy the travels. :-)

This looks awesome, thank you for the comprehensive review. I'm travelling to Europe from NZ soon for 4 weeks & am on the fence about going the medium size vs the small one as I want to pack as light as I can, plus I'll buy experiences not things to bring home. Have you any thoughts about this? I know you're reviewing the large one but thought it doesn't hurt to ask. Cheers

Who needs tweezers when you have the power of positive thinking, right? Haha love you humour In some ways I wish I could pack less, but this leopard is not going to change his spots and embrace packing more and being relaxed as we enjoy the world with our travels :-) :-)

I truly agree on checked luggage. I pack all the things I need that will make my trip enjoyable. Plus, I don't have to worry about carry-on luggage. I have my backpack as I carry all the important and valuable things that I won't put in a checked luggage.

yep 100% agree. It gives me more time to enjoy and relax. E.g. a spare pair of shoes, another universal power board adapter etc. ;-)

I want to become a regular flyer...BUT right now I'm not used to flying and have decided its best I do a checked suitcase sent to my final destination, so I get a printed boarding pass. I figure it will be easier, hopefully. I refuse the use of cellphones to get an electronic one, I just use laptops. Less is more. If my choice screws me up then so be it.
