Me and my wife just did cascade canyon in November for my bday. Absolutely loved it. The 45 minute lay over gave us the opportunity to explore and have the most epic river side lunch that I'll remember forever

I love the D&SNGRR and love those engines but one that I feel like that needs to be said is, what the hell happened to their whistles, they used to have all 5 chimes on the K-36s what happened to them.

Are the Red card new? I thought The Silverton had a Yellow cars while the Cumbres had all red cars. Do the two railroads combine somewhere to exchange cars?

The red paint on some of the cars signify that they are first class cars. The coach class cars are painted in Rio Grande Gold. The C&TS can’t exchange cars due to the fact that the rails connecting Durango and Chama have long since been torn up.
