I think it's not recommended because the gum under tartar is usually infected and sometimes bleeds while its being cleaned. Pouring something acidic like vinegar in a place like this could lead to bigger infections that would even compromise a healthy tooth.

My dentist told me that the tips of your teeth going clear is probably a sign of acid erosion. I drink a lot of diet sodas which apparently are quite acidic. I've started having the dentist do a fluoride treatment at my cleanings and I've started using tooth pastes with higher fluoride content like Sensodyne.

there are special toothbrush heads for people with sensitive gums you can purchase that one it is very light and it wont damage your gums

Don't do circular motions with an electric toothbrush, just move it over your teeth as shown in the video. You also may be brushing too much or too aggressively - you don't need to brush for more than ~3-4 mins and try holding the brush with your non dominant hand which will give you an idea of how much pressure you are using to brush your teeth

@@TheLunarElixir If I dont do circular cotions then I have to go up and down to cover the whole tooth area! I will try using my non dominant hand.

@@elias6068 In that case you should start at your gumline and sweep the toothbrush downward, then lift it off your tooth and start at the gumline again. Don't go up and down the tooth or in circles because the abrasion on your gums will make recession worse. After further research I also found that electric toothbrushes aren't a good choice because you can't regulate the brushing to be softer on the gums. An ultrasoft regular toothbrush is the way to go.

Same. I think there is way too much focus on just cavities.. atleast they can be filled easily. Gum damage is much worse then a simple cavitie.
