Hello Rodney. I have a 39" Ku band setup. Pointed to Galaxy 19, signal is 85-95 but signal quality is 0%????? using a sat finder 8V. The lnb skew does not affect at all the signal strength or quality. Any pointers or idea?

Please help: Trying to point galaxy 19 my signal is always 52% and quality 0% . 1- Using V8 Finder to detect maximum signal, At Elevation and azimuth constant the Skew doesn't improve my signal. So, I changed the altitude and azimuth to see and 2- Altitude and Elevation doesn't affect the signal. 52 to 54% and quality always 0% ! 3- If I do a full scan on Galaxy 19 a list of channel is displayed after a full scan on galaxy 19 .... 00007 gal 19 04c80 V 29850 00008 gal 19 04881 V 29990 ... Any idea to find what is wrong in my installation ?

In this video you mention to subtract 5.5deg from the elevation, but in the video on your website you mention to subtract 16 deg. Is this value depend on the type of dish or your location? I am using the WS7630, and your pointer says my elev needs to be at 55deg.

Hi, I have the Topfield 3000 and even on the auto scan setting I can't pick up the full range of channels I get the SDA channels only but none of the other free channels. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Sir. With no luck with the 87cm dish, i used a slimline dish and right then in less than a minute got a signal. Today, i checked my big dish and noticed its in perfect form but seems a little bent..seemed warped... i tried to align it in perfect form and tried it right away and booom got strong signals on diff sats above. Thanks for that video...

why did you subtract 5degs? i noticed that my 87cm dish has a shorter arm for LNB..

hi there, am from SA Texas. Been shooting GAL19 using 11842/22000 freq to catch HOPE channel but got no luck for more than 4days. Am using an old SatRadar 87cm side to side offset dish with a new single linear KU LNB with. IO 10.75. My grid : Latitude: 29.5390° Longitude: -98.4239° and Elevation: 55.5°Azimuth (true): 177.1° LNB Skew [?]: -2.5°. I need a help with this satellite am new here in US.thanks

nice video 30" dish dish wow, in my area they use 36", mines a 39" and its about right. The problem is snow, you loose it all, the bigger dishes help. Had I known, I would of went even bigger, as some of the other sats are even harder to get.

it is not allowed to ground to an outside faucet/spicket even if it is connected with metal pipe. Most are plastic pvc so there is absoloutly no actual ground. Ground rods are no longer allowed as well with dish network atleast. We have to ground to the house's existing ground, any metal electric junction boxes, any galvanized pipes, i do believe we can ground to copper city propane pipes. Codes change all the time though.
