Majestic timpani have no technical support for their timpani products based upon my experience as an owner of this company's timpani. Other timp manufacturers have utube support on dealing with various problems that can crop up as the instruments gets older.

I looooove the sound and the playing but If I buy one of these does the pedal/mute squeak a common issue on this instrument. Looked at this video because I'm in the process of purchasing a vibes set for my school soon.

This looks fantastic. Well built and very cleverly designed. I've never seen bars split into four sections. Amazing! Can't wait to hear and try this...

I've fallen asleep listening to Chad play Bach on marimba many a time. Chad is one of the most smooth and tasteful players I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Way to go, dude!

i've been looking for a 5 octave marimba under 10,000 for so long and this one seems to be the one that's calling me. The rosewood superiorists have clouded my mind for so long into thinking a padauk instrument would never be worth it, but from the recordings i've heard of this instrument, its perfect for what i'm looking for in the price range i can afford. also, a coincidence that i live in Chattanooga, where this person plays.

Soon I’m going to be getting my first Xylophone and it’s going to be a 3.5 Octave Padauk bar, concert frame Xylophone, from Majestic!. I’ve never played or purchased any products from Majestic or its other counterparts but I’m excited to try it out!, I’ve only played on a Yamaha 3.5 octave xylophone I’m not sure of the model or generation, but I know it was older then a new gen.

The concept is great but listen to the intonation of the bottom register; very thuddy with no sustaining tone.
@eboone2 жыл бұрын
It’s padauk
@927drummerboy4 жыл бұрын
The paduak is just as bad as the intonation of the 5.0 rosewood. Until Majestic starts bring Craftsmen who understands tuning particularly in the lower register, this will always be an easy inferior product. I know, as I've owned the concert rosewood 5.0 in which the octaves never lined up. I just bought the 5.0 paduak MTech which is light years ahead of this instrument. Go buy one of these instead!!!!!!!!
@aarongrooves4 жыл бұрын
Jim Edward, you owned the 5-octave rosewood version of this? I was wondering, was there consistency in the way the harmonics were tuned in that lower register? Or was it varying and random? If the _double-octave_ and _3-octave + major 3rd_ partials are in tune, I could live with that lol. Thanks for any insights!

I’ve been considering the malletech 5 octave padouk instrument. I’ve never heard it in person. I mostly played on a 5 octave Yamaha with rosewood bars. How does the malletech compare??
@927drummerboy3 жыл бұрын
@@DeeboComing Blake not because I own one, but the Malletech 5.0 has a much richer sound than the Yamaha rosewood. No kidding. If you're in the North Texas area, drive by and play on mine. Jim.

@@927drummerboy oh wow that's crazy lol. Do you think the tunable resonators play a big part in that?

I have a question. Is it the same length as an actual marimba? Bc it looks like a length of a xylo lol but im just wondering bc im seriously considering getting one.
@nathanhavey14 жыл бұрын
it has the range of a 4 1/3 octave marimba but it looks a little small in length.
